I am writing to apply for the guidance counselor position at Marshall High School. I have been actively
pursuing a new position and saw your posting online and thought it would be a great fit. I pay great
attention to detail and have excellent communication skills that allows me to work well with students.

Throughout the course of my career, I have worked in two different school districts for a total of five years.
Both of these positions have allowed me to increase my skills in building relationships with students,
creating a safe learning environment, and problem solving.

In my current position I work with high school students and I enjoy being able to build relationships with
students and help them. I have a lot of experience as a counselor and working with students that will assist
me moving forward. I would love the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the students at
Marshall High School.
