1. Discuss the historiographical traditions in different chronological and cultural contexts.

िविभ कालानु िमक और सां कृ ितक संदभ म ऐितहािसक परंपरा क चचा कर।

2. Discuss Greek historiographical traditions. Is it true that the Greek historiography laid the foundation
for later historiographies?
यूनानी ऐितहािसक परं परा क चचा कर। या यह स है क यूनानी इितहास लेखन ने उ रो र
इितहासलेखन क नीव रख ?

3. Throw light on Vedic, Puranic and epic literature as itihasa tradition in Ancient India.
ाचीन भारत म इितहास परंपरा के प म वै दक सािह य,पुराण और महाका पर काश डाल।

4. Discuss the origin of Chinese historiographic tradition. ‘Chinese historiographic tradition was moral
and pragmatic in comparison to the Western realistic historiographic tradition’. Discuss.
चीनी इितहास लेखन परंपरा के उ व पर काश डाल। ‘चीनी इितहास लेखन परं परा, पि मी

5. What were the chief characteristics of early Medieval Historiographical traditions in India ? discuss
this in the light of historiographical writings of Barani and Khusrau.

6. Discuss the works of Abul Fazl, the chief historiographer of Mughal Empire during Akbar’s
reign.
