No. SE/PWD (B&R)/Ambala/CZC/16.— Decision of the Direction Committee on Haryana P.W.D. Schedule
of Rates 1988 (Second Edition) held on 22nd July, 2016.
The Direction Committee discussed the Agenda and approved the following amendments in Haryana P.W.D.
Schedule of rates 1988, Second Edition.
THESE AMENDMENTS WILL BE APPLICABLE FROM THE DATE OF GAZETTE NOTIFICATION.

In the Haryana Government Public Works (Building and Roads) Department, Ambala Circle A&C Slip No.12
dated 16th September, 2014 published in Haryana Governemnt Gazette dated 23rd September, 2014, the following
amendment is made:

B) Steel Rs.45,500/- per MT plus 3% storage charges.
(Fe-500, TMT Steel bars) Note:
The revised premia are based on Fe-500, TMT steel bars of the primary steel
producers such as TATA Steel Ltd., SAIL, RINL, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd.
(Jindal Panther) and JSW Steel Ltd. or any other primary producer as approved by
the Direction Committee of Haryana who are using iron ore as the basic raw
material / input and having crude steel capacity of 2.0 Million tons per annum and
above.

PAINTING, VARNISHING, WHITE WASHING AND DISTEMPERING

NOTES
(I) The through rates of painting, varnishing and distempering given in this chapter are for estimating purposes
and not getting the work done through contractors/ agencies. The work of items of painting, varnishing and
distempering is to be done on labour rate basis only. The paint to be used on the work shall be issued direct
chargeable to work and necessary provision in the N.I.T. is made accordingly. However, an exemption upto
100 sqm area for getting the work on through rate basis shall be allowed in exceptional / isolated works with
the written approval of the Superintending Engineer.
(II) Two classes of rates of paint have been provided in this chapter for estimating purposes only. Firstly, for
first quality paint of best quality of reputed firms such as Goodlass-Nerolac, Berger, Garware, Jenson
Nicholson, Asian & Shalimar etc. in the trade name of Nerolac, Luxol, Eomite / Garcoat, Brolac, Apcolite
and Superloc respectively or its equivalent are considered as first quality rate of paints and secondly second
quality paints of reputed firms in the trade name of Glossolite, Parrot, Kinglac, Jensolin. Three mangoes and
Duroloc or its equivalent and I.S.I. marked are considered second quality rate of paints.
