benefits do students receive from this type of financial aid? Different types of financial aid available to students include Grants, scholarships, Work-study jobs, and

loans. You can apply for federal financial aid from FAFSA. Students can receive financial help.

2. State Financial Aid- What are the different types of state aid available to students? How do you apply for state financial aid? What benefits do students

receive from this type of financial aid? You can apply to many different grants and scholarships such as the Cal grant program and the Middle-Class Scholarship.

Students receive free financial assistance to ensure they do well in their preferred schools. All without worrying about paying it back.

3. School Specific Financial Aid- Which schools did you research? Describe one grant or scholarship that is offered at each school. What benefits do

students receive from this type of financial aid? The school that I researched was The San Diego mesa college fashion program scholarship. This program offers 250-

1000 dollars. There are requirements such as GPA and application questions you must answer.

4. Private Scholarships- Describe two scholarships that you found interesting during your research. What are the benefits of using this type of aid to fund

your education? Two scholarships I found interesting during my research were the Albert J Grennan scholarship and the Cynthia K. Wilson scholarship. These

scholarships offer the most financial aid leading up to 5,000 dollars.

5. Military Financial Aid- Do you or your family plan to or have served in the military? If so, describe at least one military financial aid program that is

available to you? What benefits do students receive from this type of financial aid? I do not plan to serve in the military, nor do I have a family member who is in it.

though I won’t put any benefits to use, there are certainly programs that can be used. One such as the GI bill program.

6. Personal Financial Aid Plan- After reviewing the different types of financial aid available to students, what plan do you have for covering the costs of

post-secondary education? Write a paragraph that summarizes the total cost you expect to pay for post-secondary education, the sources of aid you plan to use to

cover these costs, and when and how you plan to apply for each program. You may also need to consider alternate sources of income such as a college fund or

savings plan that has already been set aside. I have many options when covering the costs for my education. Even before considering college, I have been working to

save. Even after high school, I plan on working for a period of time to save even more money. I plan to cover the costs for school with scholarships and programs.

Some of which has already been provided by my teacher and district. I expect to have at least 5-7 thousand covered by financial aid and any additional fees I could

pay with savings.
