PROGRAM FARM ACTIVITY
ACTIVITIES
A. Planting material 1. Use rubber boots and mask for protective gears
selection and seeding 2. Select potato seeds
procedure 3. Use crates or basket as containers
B. Land preparation 1. Use rubber boots and mask for protective gears
2. Clean weeds and debris
3. Use hand tractor to prepare the land
4. Prepare garden beds. Plot forming and making holes
5. Use compost and animal manure
C. Fertilizer management After 15-20 days from planting use 14-14-14 fertilizer
per crop
D. Irrigation Rain feed and irrigated by spring water during dry
season
E. Weed management Use grab hoe to clean the canals and the surrounding
area
F. Pest management 1. Use rubber boots gloves and mask for protective
gears
2. Use pesticide to control pest and disease
3. Maintain schedule. Spray 3-6 days interval
depending on the weather
G. Harvesting 1. Harvest after 3 months
2. Dig Potato
3. Select the potato in 4 selection (Jumbo, Super XL,
Extra, Marble)
4. Extra size is for seeds
5. Jumbo, Super XL, “buhos system” are to be
delivered to outlet market

ACTIVITIES
A. Planting material 1. Use rubber boots and mask for protective gears
selection and seeding 2. Prepare seedling plot. Use a mix of compost and
procedure coco dust
3. Use pesticide to control soil disease
B. Land preparation 1. Use rubber boots and mask for protective gears
2. Clean weeds and debris
3. Use tractor to prepare the land
4. Prepare garden beds. Plot forming and making holes.
C. Fertilizer management 1. Use rubber boots and mask for protective gears
2. Use 14-14-14 fertilizer after 14-21 days from
planting
D. Irrigation Rain feed and irrigated by spring water during dry
seasons
E. Weed management 1. Use grab hoe to clean the canals and surroundings
2. Remove the weeds on the plot to avoid it to grow
and bud unwanted seeds
F. Pest management 1. Use “napsack” sprayer
2. Use gloves, rubber boots and mask for protective
gears before mixing pesticides
3. Maintain schedule. Spay 5-7 days interval depending
on the weather or pest occurrence

G. Harvesting 1. Use stainless knife for cutting cabbage head


2. Select firm cabbage and trim excess, damaged or old
leaves

H. Post Harvest 1. Trimming leaves depends on the requirements of the


clients
2. Use basket for containers and pack
3. Transport and delver to outlet market

2. Select the carrots in 3 selection (Big, Medium,
Lumpia)

H. Post Harvest 1. Washing if needed (air dry)


2. Use basket and pack (buhos system)
3. Transport and deliver to market
