It's been a bit of a bumpy road
in the early going, but the 2022
softball season should be a good
one for Glasgow.
Coach Ryan Hartwell returns a
talented squad that could challenge
for a berth in the state tournament.
The Scotties return all three pitchers
in juniors Daley Aune, Ashlee
Meland, and Brielle Partridge.
"We're going to lean on that
pitching staff for the next couple of
years," Hartwell said.
He noted that in the Red and
White scrimmage that his girls in
the circle threw only two walks.
Hartwell also has two catchers
that will see plenty of time behind

Morning Sports show that Stevie is
feeling better. She fought with an injury
last season.
"Her knee has been feeling
well, so that's exciting," said Coach
Hartwell."Alexis is also good in the
outfield. We have Carly Nelson, who will
be playing first base and Tatum Nyquist
will be from first or second base and the
outfield."
Hartwell has four Hinsdale athletes
in seniors Zandora Longtree, Ava Reyes,
and Montaya Idler, and freshman Berkley
Hillman. Hartwell said this is the first year
to co-op with Hinsdale. Idler has played
U12 softball.
Kat Malnaa opted to play softball this
year instead of track. The sophomore has
also played softball before. Also new to
the team is freshman Macy Marten.
Glasgow opened the season last
Thursday against Havre, a Class A squad
that Hartwell said will be competing for a
state championship.
Glagow got the bats working in the
first inning where the Scotties scored 10
runs. But the Blue Ponies came back on a
12-2 run for a 17-13 win. Stevie Hartwell
led the Scotties from the plate, going 3 for
5 with a home run and three RBIs. Aune
was 2 for 4, Nelson 2 for 3 and Nyquist had
a hit and two RBIs.

giving up 15 runs on 17 hits and struck out
two and walked one. Aune worked three

Easter verses Passover
In a week it will be the days of Passover when Jesus
Christ actually died. He rose again exactly 3 days and 3
nights later exactly on the feast of First Fruit.
There is a story in the Bible that tells us that Adam
and Eve who had two sons Cain and Able. Cain offered
up a sacrifice to God of his best. Able also offered up a
sacrifice of what God wanted in an offering. God accepted
the sacrifice from Able. He did not accept Cain offering
even though he did it with all his heart with the best he
had but it wasn’t what God required.
Most of you celebrate “Easter”. Where did that feast
come from?
The name Easter comes from the ancient Anglo-
Saxon goddess of spring that is the goddess Astarte who
is connected to fertility. The rabbit eggs also represent the
goddess of fertility Isis or Astarte. Sunrise services are to
the sun god Re or Amun-Re.
Why do we put our brain on the shelf during this
Easter celebration? Which has nothing to do with Passover.
Easter is from and for pagan gods. Have you ever seen a
rabbit lay an egg? Are we teaching our children to lie when
we tell them of eggs and rabbits?
How do you get three days and three nights from
Friday to Sunday? Why do we continue to celebrate this

Jesus is Alive!
Is this now the time that we dress up and go to our
annual church services? Also is Easter all about rabbits
and colored eggs? No – this is the time to remember
our Savior Jesus Christ who died for us to save us from
the enemies death wish!
Jesus took all of our sin on himself was crucified,
died and was buried and then on the third day was
raised from the dead and went to prepare a place for us
in heaven!
All of us should be singing “He’s alive again, the
stones been rolled away, He’s alive again he’s no longer
where he lay, He’s alive again I can hear the angels say,
Let all the earth rejoice, He’s alive!!”
As we enjoy the fun events with our children let
us remember to thank our God and let them know why
we celebrate this day! Jesus is Alive!

Passover was established by God hundreds of years
before Jesus but Easter is a man-made feast to compromise
God’s established feast days. It is a trick from Satan.
Jesus celebrated Passover and not Easter at what
is called the Last Supper. The word Easter did not exist
amongst Believers in the early church.
Today with all our problems it would be wise to
recognize what actually happened on Passover. For the first
Passover the Hebrew families would put blood on the top
and sides of the entrance door of their house, the angel of
death would pass over their house. This is called Passover.
The eldest son would then not die. The curse was nullified.
Today, with the curse of the Corina virus, it might be
wise for us to put the blood of Jesus Christ on the doorpost
of our heart and our mind. Accept what Jesus has done for
you by paying for your sins. You must accept it for yourself.
