College Research Reflection

1. List the campuses you plan on applying to or have already applied to. Highlight the three
most important criteria you used in determining where to apply.
The campuses that I plan on applying to include Southwestern College. One of the
criteria I used to determine where to apply was location. This was important to me
because going to school close to home is very convenient. Another criteria I used was
price. This was important to me because I want to be able to afford to pay for my school.
The third criteria I used was rating. This was important to me because I don't want to go
to a bad school.
2. Which campus is the one you would most like to attend? Explain why this campus is your
first choice compared to the others.
The campus that I would most like to attend is Southwestern college. This campus is my
first choice because it is close to my house, and it's affordable.
3. What will be your intended education goal? How does this goal relate to your chosen
career? What resources do these campuses have to support you in this career field?
My education goal is to obtain a music degree. In order to become a music teacher I
must obtain a music degree and a teaching license. The campus offers many resources to
support me in becoming a music teacher. For example, the campus offers many different
music programs. In addition, the campus provides additional support by giving me all the
information to contact them and register.
4. How do the costs of attendance compare at each campus? How do you plan to cover the
costs of attendance if you are accepted?
The costs of attendance at each campus $4,694 for the year, after aid. In order to cover
these costs, I plan to apply for student aid and work.
5. Do you plan on transferring to a four-year college? If so, which campuses are you
interested in transferring to?

I plan on transferring to a four-year college. When I transfer, I plan to attend San Diego
State University. I am interested in this campus because it is a good school and it is in
San Diego.

6. Are there transfer agreements available? If so, which agreements do you plan to use to
successfully transfer? What are the requirements of these agreements?

There are no transfer agreements at the campus I plan to attend.


7. Which classes are transferable from the community college you plan to attend to the
campus you plan to transfer to? Are there classes that will not transfer?

There are no classes that will not transfer. These classes include math, history, English,
and music.
