CONSIDERATIONS
BUS TERMINAL : CONCERNS & SOLUTIONS

CONCERNS passengers are

SOLUTIONS

There should be an adequate benches or chairs

for the passengers while they are waiting for
their departure. They should also maintain the
cleanliness and orderliness in the area to provide
ease and enjoyment.
 The terminal looks so
CONCERNS dull and the design is
very simple.
It have limited space

for the busses.
It seems like the
terminal was not
planned well.

SOLUTIONS

There should be an adequate area for the busses.

The terminal should be designed more lively and
attractable for the passengers especially while
they wait.
CONCERNS The terminal space s
are very tight and
crowded.
Most of the time

because there is not
enough space for
them as it was only
limited for the busses.

SOLUTIONS

There should be a smooth flow around the area.

Spaces must be separate according to their
zoning in order for the vehicles and people to
move with ease.
CONCERNS Poor sanitation n the

The terminal is polluted

SOLUTIONS

There should be workers who will maintain the

cleanliness of the terminal. The terminal should
also have fans or install something to purify the
air around the waiting area. They should consider
their passengers' health and their safety.
CONCERNS The terminal is not
well maintained.
Only the colors of 5. maintenance
the roofing are
painted.
It is not in good
condition especially
the road are not
cemented well so it
gets muddy when it
rains.

SOLUTIONS

Put new materials like benches or chairs in the

waiting area. The road should be cemented and
replaced the roofs incase there are leaks when it
rains.

passenger.

response to the
terminal.

SOLUTIONS

Try to change the mood inside the terminal like

the lightings and its color. Make the terminal
attractive for the passengers so that they have
that enjoyment while waiting for thei departure.
 The terminal is
CONCERNS unattractive to
the passanger
and passerby.

this terminal.
Looks so simple
and it doesn;t
show any
identity.

SOLUTIONS

The design should build its own character and

must deliver a message to its users in order to
have an aesthtic visual impression.
 No excitement of
CONCERNS departure at all.
It was boring for
passengers since

there is nothing
to do anywhere.
The road trip
was nice but
that's all no other
great
experience.

SOLUTIONS

The terminal should have some entertainment

areas or some place where they can relax while
waiting like coffee shops so that they can board
on bus with contentment in their hearts.
 Lighting is so dark
CONCERNS especially at night
the lightbulbs are 9. Lighting &
already dim. ventilation
Although the
terminal is open
area still, it so hot
around it caused
by pollution and
crowded spaces.

SOLUTIONS

Replace the lights to a brighter one and put some

spotlight or lamp post as it adds safety for the
passengers at night. For the ventilation, put some
fans and jet fans for the heat that ventilates
around the area.
CONCERNS There are limited
spaces for people
and busses.

SOLUTIONS

They should follow the standard sizes for each

spaces. The terminal area should be flexible in
order to widen it and make changes easily.
 The site is beside
CONCERNS the rotonda which
sometimes causes
a traffic because 11. site factors
the bus is waiting
for the other to
depart since there
is only limited space
for them.
The site is
sometimes prone
to flood.

SOLUTIONS

They should follow the standards and know the

factors for the site. The terminal area should be
flexible in order to widen it and make changes
easily. They should also consider the placement of
the site.
CONCERNS No entertainment area.
Pathways and waiting
area are only one.

Chair spaces are too

uncomfortable.

SOLUTIONS

Put some areas where passengers can enjoy.

Provide some spaces also for privacy like chairs
for individual or couples or by family. Consider
what the customers want and give their
expectations.
