Film description/ review for ``Red Notice`` (2021)

by Apostol Adrian :)

I'm a big fan of movies and series, I also watch them quite often when I have some free time
on streaming platforms as Netflix or HBO. That’s why it is hard for me to choose a single
movie to talk about, because I absolutely love watching them. But, because I didn’t want to
disappoint you, today I will present the most recent movie I watched this week.It is called
‘’Red Notice’’ and stars two of my favourite actors: Dwayne Johnson, also known as The
Rock and Ryan Reynolds, who also played in ``Deadpool``, a comedy masterpiece if you ask
me. So, let’s jump into it, in this essay I will let you see why I liked this movie so much and
hopefully make you watch it too.
The movie stars with an Egyptian myth. Although it was thought for centuries to be a mere
myth, legendary stories were told of Antony gifting three bejeweled eggs to Cleopatra. A
local farmer unearthed two of the ancient artifacts in Egypt, one of which was eventually put
on display in Rome, while the other ended up in a private collection. The third egg, however,
was never located, leaving many to wonder if it would ever be reunited with its brethren. We
open in Rome, where FBI profiler John Hartley (Johnson) has received intel from shadowy
art-world presence The Bishop that master thief Nolan Booth will be stealing one of the three
bejeweled eggs given by Julius Caesar to Cleopatra. Hartley catches Booth in the act, leading
to one of the film’s best chases, with Booth’s parkour skills allowing him to scramble through
small passages and up scaffolding where the brawny Hartley cannot easily follow. Hartley
and Interpol’s Inspector Das track Booth to his Bali hideaway, but when the egg gets stolen
again during the arrest, Das accuses Hartley of being in on the scam and ships him off to the
same Russian gulag where Booth is already incarcerated. The enemies must reluctantly team
up, first to escape and then to track down all three of the Cleopatra eggs, for which a
billionaire has promised a fortune. They just have to find them before The Bishop does, even
though she seems to be constantly two steps ahead of them.
“Red Notice” is just deeply unexceptional and pedestrian: a lot of lights shining on three
worldwide-class superstars, with perfect white teeth with explosions and gloss all around
them, and never once creating anything that resembles a captivating spark.

P.S: There are like 300+ words srry mrs. Constanta but I couldn’t fit all the story in less
words.
P.P.S: Sorry for sending it late, hope I didn’t bother you too much.
