To Whom it May Concern,

I want to express my curiosity and interest in the engineering internship at XXXX. As a second-
year civil engineering student at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, I prioritize my academics in
the highest degree. I have maintained a 3.9 GPA and have made the Dean’s List for the past three
semesters. More importantly, I have immersed myself to take opportunities outside of the
classroom to excel and manage leadership positions while expanding my non-technical and
technical toolkit.

During my past semesters at the University, I have balanced and managed extracurricular activities
that have shaped my college experience. As a member of the Maverick Concrete Canoe Team and
the American Society of Civil Engineers, I have gained practical experience and engaged in the
professional networking scene. As a member of this organization, I am involved in the mix design,
casting of the canoe, and presenting our finished product at the Conference in the Midwest Region.
Despite an unconventional virtual Conference in 2021, we managed to present our technical project
and received second place in our oral presentation of The Mav.

Additionally, I am heavily involved in the Engineering Living Learning Community, the Nebraska
Student Council at Omaha, Multicultural Engineering Program, and Latinos in STEM. I take pride
in my involvement and participate to better the University. I have improved my time-management
which have benefitted my academic life and my communication skills to seek interpersonal
relationships with others.

My technical and non-technical skills allow me to excel in any environment and quickly adapt to
changes. I am looking for potential work opportunities to better understand our world and create
meaningful relationships. I look forward to hearing back from you and learning more about
