Subject: rash and reckless driving

Sir

Through the column of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the

concerned authorities towards the rash and reckless driving in the city. Rash driving has become

the latest craze amongst the youngsters.

In the craze for speed, the reckless youngsters not only endanger their own life but also lives of

other innocent people. It leads to accident every day. The car drivers go fast through thick traffic.

They don’t care about the pedestrians. The bus drivers are always in a hurry to cover the

maximum number of trips. They overtake other buses to pick more passengers without caring

about the other people walking or driving on the road. Young men on scooters and bikes also

drive rash by nature.

Children, women, and the old people are the worst hit. The accident causes loss of many

innocent lives. It is high time that government and municipal authorities should adopt suitable

measures. The traffic police squads should be brought in force to make challans of such rash

drivers. Further, on every crossing there should be a provision of traffic signals or traffic police.

The law breakers should be heavily punished or fined.

I hope the concerned authorities and the general public will see the gravity of the matter and

some measures will be adopted to solve the problem.

Yours Sincerely

Kamal
