NVIDIA's upcoming Lovelace cards. Interestingly, the tipster referred to the top-end

Tipster @kopite7kime recently shared specs for what appear to be NVIDIA's upcoming
flagship Lovelace card, built on the AD102 GPU. The numbers correlate with what we've
seen in earlier leaks, including a 600W TDP for the top-end card, and 24GB of 21 Gbps
VRAM. 

What's particularly interesting, though, is that @kopite7kime doesn't label the purported card
as the GeForce RTX 4090. Instead, the tipster calls it an "XX90." This indicates that the
GeForce RTX 4090 might not be the name NVIDIA will use for the upcoming card. A likely
possibility is that Team Green will skip over the 4000 series nomenclature entirely.

This wouldn't be the first time that NVIDIA's skipped a numerical series - the Fermi GTX
400 lineup followed the GTX 200 series, Maxwell GTX 900 cards replaced the 700 series,
and NVIDIA went straight from the 1000 series to the 2000 series with the arrival of ray-
tracing on Turing. 

Regardless of what these new cards are going to be called, they're expected to pack a
considerable punch. A fully-enabled AD102 GPU reportedly features over 18,000 cores - this
indicates that Lovelace's peak performance could potentially double that of the GeForce RTX
3080. And with GPU prices gradually coming down as supply stabilizes, buyers might even
be able to buy a Lovelace card at something approaching the MSRP.
