This module for Inquiries, Investigations,

and Immersion will help you present your written

statement of the problem. You will not only write

a statement of the problem but you will also have

to present them orally in the class.

This module will give you tips on how you

are going to present your statement of the

problem including the background of the study,

conceptual framework, research hypothesis,

definition of terms, importance of the study, and

scope and delimitations of the study and be able

to defend them properly.

The Key Don’ts of Presenting

1. Talk at a steady speed, not too fast or too slow.

2. Avoid reading from your slides at all costs.
3. Try not to pace up and down due to your nerves.

What you just read are the do’s and don’ts

in presenting the statement of the problem

including the background of the study, conceptual

framework, research hypothesis, definition of

terms, significance of the study, and scope and

delimitations of the study. Practice your

presentation following them properly.

Instructions: Take note of the following when making your powerpoint presentation or

visual aids (manila paper or catolina). Make sure that you follow the number of slides, its

content, and the font size (44). Limit the number of words in your slide (not too lengthy).

Please be reminded to follow the sequence

and content, its size, and the number of words

included in each slide.

Take note also of the guidelines for your final

presentation below.

Instructions: Your final presentation has two parts. The first part is a prerecorded

presentation of your chapter 1 from the background of the study to the scope and

delimitation of the study. When prerecording your presentation, you may use a mobile

phone or any camera or video recorder available for a new normal classroom setting. The

second part is the question-and-answer portion. It must be done via zoom, messenger or

any available app the teacher and the students may find convenient. Please follow the

guidelines below.

GUIDELINES FOR THE PRESENTATION

1. Video presentation must not exceed 10 minutes;

2. Dress appropriately in the prerecorded presentation and question and answer

parts.

3. The video must cover the essential details of your problem including the

background of the study, conceptual framework, research hypothesis, definition of

terms, significance of the study, and scope and delimitations of the study (for

quantitative study); rationale, research questions, theoretical lens, importance of

the study, delimitation and limitation of the study, and definition of terms (for

qualitative study).

4. Questions and answers will follow after the video presentation is played. During

this time, the students are allowed to discuss further what is being asked by the

teacher or panelist/s.

5. If one group is done, the next will follow.

6. Make sure that everyone in the group engages and participates in the first and

second parts of the presentation. Follow the rubric given below for the

presentation.

Now that all groups have already presented their

statement of the problem including the

background of the study, conceptual framework,

research hypothesis, definition of terms,

importance of the study, and scope and

delimitations of the study. I hope you are now

ready for the revision according to the

suggestions and recommendations given by the

teacher and make sure you are ready for the data

gathering.
