workplace
Team dynamics are created by the nature of the team’s work, the personalities within the team,
their working relationships with other people, and the environment in which the team works.
Team dynamics can be good - for example, when they improve overall team performance and/or
get the best out of individual team members. They can also be bad - for example, when they
cause unproductive conflict, demotivation, and prevent the team from achieving its goals.
• Improved Results – a team operating to its fullest potential is naturally going to get better
results. They are more focused, clearer on their aims, and work better together.
• Greater Collaboration – greater levels of cooperation and collaboration are possible when
teams work in a more informal and supportive atmosphere.
• Faster Decision-Making – team members are more willing to listen to each other and so
make faster decisions.
• Greater Commitment – individual team members feel more valued. The pay back is greater
commitment and loyalty from workers.
So, how can you turn things around? Well, improving team dynamics can be easier with these
simple strategies:
• Know Your Team – learn about the 4 phases a group goes through as it develops. This
will help you pre-empt problems with team dynamics.
• Quick Feedback – when you spot poor behavior, act quickly to negate it through
feedback.
• Roles & Responsibilities – clear direction helps to manage team dynamics. Create
a team charter defining the group’s objective and individual responsibilities.
• Break Down Barriers – use team building activities to boost unity and strengthen
relationships.
• Communication – keep everyone informed, and when changes are decided, share the
news quickly.

Introduction of my group:
In this assignment, our team will discuss the relevance of team dynamics in the success or failure of
group work, as well as how to apply the team dynamic element to work within a team to achieve a
given goal, in order to evaluate the project's success or failure. After that, I'll give you a critical
evaluation of your personal role and contribution to a group situation based on the obligations that
team members have in a team and their efficacy in terms of achieving common goals.
While supporting my team members in their work. we occasionally run across challenges for
my team dynamics
in the 4-day Training program: “IT education training for students with high technology”. Having a lot
of things to do, so each team member is assigned a separate but related assignment. The team leader
noticed an increase in disagreements and arguments among the members after a month of working
together. As a result, no one volunteers to have a pleasant conversation with another member. To
help them get along, the leader took everyone out to lunch, and they found themselves pleasantly
speaking with one another while eating more and resolving issues.
Result:
Last, the team leader determines that the group would eat together after each operation or event,
creating a comfortable setting after work and learning more about each other's personalities. settling
disputes.
Each participant in my group is assigned work based on their abilities. To achieve the best result, we
communicate. As a group, we strive for a single purpose. We encourage and motivate team members
to do their tasks. When they are having difficulty completing their work, they should help each other.
Companies should strive to have project team members embody each of the following six
characteristics.
1. Excellent Communicator
Project team members work with individuals in all levels of the organization, coming from a
variety of different backgrounds. As a result, these project management professionals must
have the ability to effectively communicate with a number of different audiences. Poor
communication can make or break the success of a project, so this is essential.
2. Knowledge of Project Management Principles
While team members don’t have to be experts on every tactic, tool, and term, having a basic
knowledge of project management fundamentals provides them with a solid foundation to
work with.
3. Highly Organized
Mass chaos and project success don’t mix. A project team member must be extremely
organized, so they know exactly what is going on with each step of the project at all times.
These professionals must know how to leverage available tools and techniques to stay
organized, even when under significant stress.
The best project team members are also solid leaders who know how to motivate people.
They’re able to create a vision for both stakeholders and their teams to look to for
inspiration. When crunch time begins they know exactly what it takes to motivate people to
get the job done.
The project manager relies on team members to provide estimates for their individual tasks.
It’s important for estimates to be accurate because they have the potential to throw the
entire project timeline off. One delayed task can result in a domino effect, ultimately causing
everyone to miss key deadlines.
6. Self-Assured
It’s important for a project team member to be able to politely-but-firmly stand their ground
when faced with opposition from others in the organization. These professionals need to
clearly convey their needs and stand up for the best interests of the project when faced with
roadblocks.
2. Apply to My Group

- One of the Improtant criteria that I choose Thanh Dan for my team is Knowledge of Project
Management Principles
Why I selected Thanh Dan, because he has the ability to organize and organize work
effectively, which make my project of development is faster.

This paper became the groundwork for the stages of group development. Tuckman’s foundation
helps team leaders understand how team dynamics change as a project progresses. By
understanding the five stages of group development, you can support your team as they’re
getting to know one another to quickly enable collaboration and effective teamwork
The five stages of group development, according to Bruce Tuckman's model, are forming,
storming, norming, performing, and adjourning.
Stage 1: Forming stage
The first stage of group development is the forming stage. In this stage of group
development, team members are just getting to know each other. As a result, they're unsure
of how they'll interact together. At this stage, the group isn’t very productive, as they're still
getting acclimated and figuring out the role that each person will play on the team.
The next stage of group development is the storming stage. In this stage, team members are
in the process of learning how to work together. As team members begin collaborating,
conflicts may arise, whether that’s from clashing personalities or opinions on how a project
should progress. Without a clear understanding of what role each individual plays on the
team, relationships can get tumultuous as team members struggle to find a role that’s right
for them.
Establishing group collaboration early on can help reduce the impact of—or even prevent—
this stage of group development. This doesn’t necessarily mean that conflicts won’t happen.
In fact, disagreement is critical to effective team collaboration. So when conflicts do arise, it’s
important to resolve them as they come instead of avoiding them. Having a team with
already existing collaborative skills can help resolve conflicts more easily and faster.
This is the stage when things begin to settle down as your team finds their groove. As they
grow more comfortable working together, team members are more comfortable asking for
help completing a task or getting constructive feedback. Your team starts to increase their
productivity at this stage as they become more familiar with their teammates and their
working styles.
Stage 4: Performing stage
At this stage, your team has reached cohesion and team members are working together at
their highest potential. Your team follows established workflows and group members feel as
if they have a common goal to reach together. This is the ideal stage of group development.
As a team lead, it’s your goal to get your team to this stage as quickly as possible. We discuss
more about how to get your team to this point below.
The fifth stage of group development, also known as the mourning stage, is the final stage a
team will go through. After a project is over or if a team is disbanded, team members who
worked together will go into a small mourning period. Group members may have a hard time
working with other groups as they had strong group dynamics with their previous team.
This is also the time in which teams can celebrate everything they have achieved together.
Take the time to reflect on your achievements and remind your team why they’re doing what
they do. This is also a great opportunity to recognize and praise the talents of specific team
members.
When each of the five stages is carried through, your group will feel more in sync and be a high-
functioning unit. No one is afraid to ask a question, bring up a concern, or pose a new way of going
about certain tasks. Everyone can bring their whole self to the team, play to their strengths, and will
step up and help one another when it’s needed.
Being able to do this will also increase productivity. Bottlenecks are solved fast and with purpose.
And, if any other roadblocks are met, the team is able to work together to come up with the
necessary solutions to get back on track.
And, when all is said and done, going through all five stages of team development sets the team up
for success. There’s an increased chance of reaching the product goal within the timeline originally
set during the forming stage.
For instance, you can set a clear purpose and mission early on during the forming stage, and
consistently revisit during the other stages, so no one ever loses sight of the goal you’re all working
towards. Similarly, establish ground rules and make sure they’re followed.
One of those rules can be to remember to always listen to one another. No question is stupid, no idea
is too silly to bring up, and no one is too “senior” to ask for help. At the end of the day, you’re all
working towards a common goal, to get there, you need a foundation built on listening to what the
others on the team have to say.
You can also choose to end each meeting with insightful and constructive feedback that improves
the group process. Having this pre-written notion that feedback will be given at the end of each
meeting not only promotes and encourages feedback, it also makes it easier for the team to
collaborate on strategies moving forward. To take it one step further, leave specific time for this
feedback when you outline the meeting agenda. That way, it’s built-in to the time and it’ll never go
forgotten.
2. Apply to My Group

III. P7 Discuss the importance of CPD and its contribution to own learning
1. Definition:
CPD
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the process of developing professional skills and
knowledge through interactive, participation-based or independent learning. It enables learners to
proactively develop their professional capabilities through certified learning or self-guided learning
methods.
It involves setting objectives for short and long-term progression with a structured and goal-specific
plan. People engaging in CPD need to keep records of any knowledge attained and progress made
for the purpose of reflecting on their learning and for showcasing skills, and sometimes as evidence
of having undertaken CPD.
Development should build on technical and non-technical skills, so learners gain the expertise and
understanding required to approach professional situations from various angles
2. Why is CPD Important?
Many professions have set requirements for ongoing CPD, where it is necessary for individuals to
prove they are capable of adhering to current essential standards – such as legal, medical, and
accounting roles.
But beyond that, CPD helps people retain a consistent set of high quality, relevant skills and
knowledge throughout their professional life. The best part is that CPD puts learners in a favourable
position to demonstrate new knowledge, work to impressive standards, and progress in their
career.
3. CPD of Benefits :
CPD benefits for the learner:
• Refines your personal skills and intellect and helps to plug any knowledge gaps.
• Keeps academic and practical qualifications up to date – keeping skills relevant is
integral in today’s fast-moving world, where rapid progression can quickly lead to previous
learning becoming obsolete.
• Opens pathways to career progression or potential redirection, including achieving
higher salaries and better job security.
• Enhances your ability to regularly learn and improve – you’ll learn quicker as you
become acquainted with the process and will become a better independent learner.
• Demonstrates ambitiousness, aptitude, and a dedication to self-improvement to
current and prospective employers and clients.
• Provides valuable examples and scenarios for showcasing professional achievements and
growth in CVs, cover letters, and interviews.
• Reduces feelings of uncertainty or worries about change – CPD gives you a plan for
future aspirations and the ability to readily adapt.
• Promotes independence – self-directed CPD requires you to consciously engage in learning
activities and follow your own plan, while some structured CPD activities can benefit from
you engaging in further research and study.
Continuous professional development can also be an excellent self-motivation tool, as it reminds
you of your achievements and progression. Plus, its flexibility and diversity – in terms of the
different forms of CPD learning available – gives you an opportunity to find a learning approach that
fits you best.
To achieve these benefits, businesses should always support employees’ continuous personal
development and allow equal access to learning opportunities. Keep in mind that there are at least a
dozen different types of CPD, so there’s always one form or another that suits your schedule and
needs.
A professional development plan is a list of actionable steps for achieving your career goals. A
professional development plan helps you gain specific insight into how you can reach your career
aspirations, such as earning a new certification or finding a mentor who can advise you. Drafting a
professional development plan is especially helpful during a job search. By defining your goals in a
PDP, you can have a true understanding of how you want to navigate the search and interview
process.
You can use many different formats to create a PDP. It can be a simple typed document, or you could
create a structured table with rows and columns. Use a format that can help you methodically think
about your professional future and the goals you need to reach that vision.
A PDP should be a continual reference or touchstone, and you should update it every time you reach
important milestones. Regularly updating your PDP allows you to set new goals that help you grow
as a professional and individual.
Everyone should have the chance to grow professionally in their career. Part of the individual
development plan process includes examining a person’s career goals and aspirations, typically with
the guidance of an advisor, manager or supervisor. Following a meaningful conversation together,
you can create a plan of action that will detail what individual steps you should take to accomplish
any of the following:
The purpose of an individual development plan is to encourage people to invest in their work and
themselves, which can lead to greater job satisfaction and a more positive outlook of the future.
