BASIC CAMERA OPERATIONS AND HANDLING
ISO

the measurement of a digital camera sensor's

light sensitivity. The higher the sensitivity of the lens to
light the grainier the image, high ISO is often used on
dark areas such as an indoor event.

Aperture

the size of the opening in the lens when an

image is taken. The term Depth of Field is often used
when we talk about aperture, lower f-stop means blurrier
background and more focused on the foreground, high f-
stop means no separation between background and
foreground.

Shutter Speed

The amount of time that the shutter is open. It is

measured in seconds, the longer the time the clearer the
image is while shorter time means blurry image and it
would require a tripod for stabilization. 1/60 is commonly
used.
