ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to determine the significance of modular distance learning on
the performance tasks of pupils in Guiwan Elementary School, Zamboanga City during academic

year 2020 – 2021. The researcher utilized the descriptive – quantitative employing a survey
method. It used survey questionnaires which were answered by 40 parents and 40 pupils of
The findings indicated that the significant features in modular distance learning delivery
in terms of knowledge, skills and abilities on the performance tasks of pupils were highly
performed. The parents and teachers were facing the challenges in the performance tasks during
the modular distance learning. These challenges were Internet connection, ICT application,
activities, assessment, advisers; attention and teachers feedback. There was a significant
relationship between the features in modular distance learning delivery and the challenges
encountered on the performance tasks of pupils. There was a significant difference in the

This study recommends that Department of Education Officials may create a monitoring
team to look into the features in modular distance learning delivery particularly on the
performance tasks of pupils. The School Heads may design a training for the teachers on the
features in modular distance learning delivery. They may also design a program intended for the
pupils to perform their tasks as home. The teachers may attend seminar on the features in
modular distance learning delivery on the performance tasks of pupils. They may also design a
specific rubric to evaluate the performance tasks of the pupils. The parents may support their
children in their performance tasks and in answering the activities found in the self - learning
modules. The pupils may continue to do their performance tasks with the assistance of their
parents.
