Abstract:
The marine microalgae such as Chlorella salina, Nannochloropsis occulata, Tetraselmis suecica,
Chactocerous calcitrains and Dunaiella salina were cultured on conventional Convey medium as well as
on formulated test media seaweeds extract, soil extract, sea grass and amino acid in view to find out
cost effective and efficient media for large scale production. This study was also extended to find out the
variations on biochemical constituents, photosynthetic pigments, protein synthesis and total number of
cell per ml in the selected microalgae cultured on convey and formulated test media.
