My Tesla-3 31-Mar-2022

My

2021 Model 3
VIN 5YJ3E7EB6MF894143

I own my Tesla-3 for a year, I extremely satisfy from the car at almost every aspect, I’m a great fun of Tesla

any how I have one concern:

My Tesla -3 are one year old this week, the expected range was declined from 540Km to 506Km about 6% yearly
declined

Accordingly, capacity was 73.5KWh when bought and now 69.5KWh this represents similarly 5.44% decline

) consider 74.5KWH LG battery when new, degradation show 6.5% /Year)

Battery at Tesla expected to decline at 1% yearly,

assume my battery continue to decline at 5.44% yearly, after 5 years

My range/Capacity will be:

related to 5.44% decline (calculate current capacity / since I first measure)

Period [Year] Range [%] Range [Km] Capacity [KWH]
0 100.00% 540.0 73.5
1 94.56% 510.6 69.5
2 89.41% 479.9 65.7
3 84.55% 451.1 62.1
4 79.94% 424.1 58.8
5 75.59% 398.6 55.6
6 71.48% 374.7 52.5
7 67.59% 352.2 49.7
8 63.91% 331.1 47.0

Same table related to 6.7% decline (calculate current capacity / LG-New-Capacity)

Period [Year] Range [%] Range [Km] Capacity [KWH]
0 100.00% 540.0 73.5
1 94.00% 507.6 69.1
2 88.36% 477.1 64.9
3 83.06% 448.5 61.0
4 78.07% 421.6 57.4
5 73.39% 396.3 53.9
6 68.99% 372.5 50.7
7 64.85% 350.2 47.7
8 60.96% 329.2 44.8

I do my best to maintain long range:

 Avoid Supercharge - 95.9% of my charge are AC.

 Avoid charge above 80% -> less than 2% of my charge are >80%
 Speed: I wasn’t drive too fast: look at my speed distribution.
Note that I started measure after 20K Km
I want Tesla to analyze if there is any battery defect, as LG Long-Range battery, expected to decline <2% yearly,
or to replace my battery if needed…
