LESSON PROCEDURE
Introduction (time: 2-5mins)

Hook/Attention Grabber: Explaining to the students what the plan is today

1) Before the students get with their partner. Remind them that today is the last day to
2

complete the project.

2) Remind the students since we are in groups to have the masks up.
3) If they finish, you can read a book. Work on a project.

Transitioning from Hook to Body: Letting the students get with the partner
1) When they have their partner they can begin. Bring some extra sheets of paper just in
case students were missing or they lost their sheet.

Body (time: 35-40)

Learning Activity #1: Magazine Project
1) The project will be in partners. I highly recommend you pair up with someone who you
will get the project done with.
2) The project is where you compare the medias version of what a human is supposed to
look like to what, to the true beauty.
3) You will need a title, True Beauty vs Media Beauty. You will write your partner names
on the back of the piece of paper.
4) Using scissors and glue, you will need to cut photos out of magazines to find the right
photos.
5) You will write about each photo on the discussing how it shows true beauty and how it
shows humans should be supposed to be.
6) The rubric is on the back of the handout.
7) Once you find a partner both need to come and grab a handout.

Closure (time: 5-10mins)

Feedback From Students on Learning: If the students did not finish, this is now homework.
(If majority of students are not done, then the teacher could suggest that the students have
some of Monday class to get it done)

Transition To Next Lesson(s): Thanking the students

1) Thank the students for working hard
Student Differentiation:
Jurel and Martin have their own project, that they can work on with support. Make sure to
provide them with the material Trica made.
