Appendix 2 – IP protection levels

1 Preparation of Equipment
None

2 Test conditions

The test-probe (Ø 1,0mm, 100mm length and test finger) is pressed against every potential
opening of the housing. The test force applied is:
1N ± 10%. (IPXXD); 10N ± 10% (IPXXB)
If the probe enters partially or even fully the probe is moved to any possible position. In no
case the probe shall enter the DUT entirely.
