Important Notice

The Council on Accreditation of


Nurse Anesthesia Educational
Programs (COA) requires that all
students matriculating in a nurse
anesthesia educational program
on January 1, 2022 or thereafter
be enrolled in a program
accredited by the COA to award a
doctoral degree.

We are pleased to announce


that the Newman University
Nurse Anesthesia Program has
been granted approval by the
COA, the Kansas State Board of
Nursing, and the Higher
Learning Commission (HLC) to
award the Doctor of Nurse
Anesthesia Practice (DNAP)
degree!

Master's Degree will be

***Applications for the Doctor of


Nurse Anesthesia Practice will
open on June 11, 2021 and will
close on September 1, 2021***

Program Accreditation

All programs of Nurse Anesthesia


are accredited by the Council on
Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia
Education Programs and the
Higher Learning Commission. The
COA is a specialized accreditation
body recognized by the Council on
Post-Secondary Education and
the United States Department of
Education. The Nurse Anesthesia
Programs are approved by the
Kansas State Board of Nursing.
