Ojambo Dennis is an astute professional with 7 years of experience in Civil Engineering projects including

the project was sent out to tender.

Main Project Features: Widening of existing roads and junctions,
walkways and drainage systems, construction of bridges, signalization of
roundabouts, and underpass construction; flyover connecting Hotel
Africana junction to Kitgum House, flyover from Kitgum house junction to
Mukwano road and flyover linking Nsambya to Clock Tower.

Responsibilities:
i. Developing specifications and scopes of works at the end of the
schematic design phase in order to draw estimates and bills of quantities.
ii. Tracking project changes and producing site-based schedules as agreed
with engineering and project team.
ii. Assisting and coordinating all phases of design including the review of
conceptual designs during construction recommending alternative
solutions whenever design details affect construction feasibility or
schedule.
v. Tracking changes to the design and adjusting budget projections
accordingly.
v. Reviewing of drawings and specifications as they were being prepared,
evaluating initial construction expenditures versus operating
expenditures, advise on construction feasibility of design for present costs
versus future costs, thereby, optimizing the Total cost of the facility-
Income protection.
vi. Reviewing and reporting on the feasibility of the proposed construction
works considering design alternatives and construction method with the
objective of increasing deliverability of the development.

Supervision of proposed reinforced concrete reservoir 15000 m3 , refitting
of existing reservoirs at Seeta and Mukono, DN 1400 DI water
transmission pipeline 38 km long and DN 600 pipeline-14 km long
Position held: Quantity surveyor.

Activities Performed:
i. Reviewing and further developing of specifications and scopes of works in
conjunction with stakeholders.
ii. Providing contractual guidance and support to stakeholder teams that
included post contract award interpretation, claims, contract amendments
and supplier performance reviews.
ii. Issuing recommendation to award documentation including bid evaluation
reports for submission to the contracts committee inline regulatory
requirements.
v. Developing, compiling and conducting pre-qualification exercises, call for
tender packages, tender openings, evaluation of received tenders
including analysis of commercial and contractual qualifications, contract
negotiation and execution of the contract.
v. Measuring and assessment of project cost and quantities to produce a
construction budget and bills of quantities.
vi. Carrying out the cost of works by use of tendered rates, quotations or
dayworks.
vii. Verifying progress and quantities for payment.
iii. Preparation of the trend analysis and forecasting of project costs and cash
flows relative to budget.

vi. Convening management meetings at monthly or lesser intervals to review
progress of the works and discuss any other issues concerning the project.
vii. Dealing with post contract variances and the change control processes in

iii. Establishing Project Cost Control Estimate (PCCE) for capital costs of the
project.
x. Evaluating Contractor’s method statements on how works would be
carried out in line with requirements of major forms of Contract.
xx. Assist, when requested, with the presentation of project information to the
public and external agencies, including financiers, among others.
xi. Coordinating the work of the Contractor on site to ensure compliance with
the Contract and any applicable regulations.
xii. Maintaining an up-to-date drawing register and check drawing revisions
against the contract drawings and specifications to identify potential
issues.
iii. Preparing cashflow forecast based on the Contractor’s work program and
notifying the client of the likely outgoings during the construction.

possession of site and reminded them of their contractual
obligations relating to contractor’s payments.

program in municipalities of Hoima, Fort portal, Kabale and Masaka.
Year: December 2016- May 2017

these value for money Audits centred on the following key performance

timelines and, approved work programs.
(c) Effectiveness of project implementations regarding supervisory
arrangements and end products in terms of usability and quality of the
