Failure/Problem

-Battery Internal Leakage

Symptom

-DTC code appears on MDC and central warning alarm after first start cranking. Engine can’t crank.

History

Storage long time/Not have daily machine warm up plan.

Cause & analysis

-Battery internal leakage because of long time storage.(can recharge again
-Battery internal plate damage.
-Battery terminal loosen.
-Big resistance wire line.
-Battery relay cannot give good contact point for system load usage.
-Starter motor damage.
-Pull/Hold solenoid abnormal(not have good contact for motor load).

According to error code saying, we check the batter voltage is OK but can’t stand cranking load. So we
connect with another battery to get good strength ampere for cranking load. After finish the battery joining,
we crank the machine again to start engine operation at idle speed.
Never boost-start the machine by connecting directly to the starter motor. This may result in uncontrolled
machine movements. When using another machine to boost-start, it must not touch the machine that is being
started.
If a tool touches a cable connected between the positive terminal and the chassis, there is danger that it will cause
sparks. Battery post clamps must be tightly connected. If loosely connected, the terminal may burn or be eroded by
sparks caused by defective contact. Battery acid can burn or blind you. If acid gets on your skin or in your eyes,
immediately wash with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor immediately.
