MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Management today is an inter-disciplinary science with
an increasing focus on technology, creativity, and innovation.
At the same time, the fact remains that human capital is the key
differentiator for successful enterprise. How then can individuals
and institutions balance these ever growing paradoxes? Being human
and digital, being global and local, being ethical and profitable, being
futuristic and focused on current priorities. Continuously aligning
and recalibrating strategies to the volatile, uncertain, complex and
ambiguous world we live in, needs leadership and collaboration skills
like never before. At Sri Sri University, our focus is to nurture and
sculpt these skills in our students and groom them into becoming
successful global leaders.
What makes the Sri Sri University Faculty of Commerce and
Management Studies a unique center of education and excellence?
Mrs. Rajita Kulkarni We believe attention to the following important aspects is helping
us rapidly gain recognition as one of the best private universities in
India:
• An innovative academic approach that offers the best knowledge of
the West with the most time tested wisdom of the East,
• A curriculum rich in interactive, self-study & classroom learning,
• Industry projects along with engagement with the wider community,
• Seasoned, experienced & expert faculty members,
• Exposure to international events & speakers,
• Opportunity to be mentored by renowned national & international
indutry leaders,
• Integration of mind management tools & techniques in the
curriculum that nurtures the skills of resilience and emotional
intelligence to respond to the demands of professional responsibilities,
• Training in self-leadership to develop the ability to be agile in an
increasingly dynamic world and,
• A solid foundation of universal human values.

Is this approach working? We would think so, given that in

a short span of a few years we have received the following awards in
recognition of our efforts in this direction:

• ‘Best University in Holistic Education Award 2015’ presented at

Jharkhand Education Excellence Awards 2015,
• ‘Prakruti Mitra Award 2016’ presented by Minister – Forest &
Environment at the Environment Day Event at Odisha Secretariat
organized by the Dept. Forests & Environment,

One of the biggest compliments any educational institution
can get is when its alumni shine bright by succeeding in their chosen
endeavors. In this short span of less than 5 years, Sri Sri University
alumni have gone on to set up their own ventures, join multinationals,
innovate for social good and chart new territories in new landscapes
of opportunities. It’s common for us to get appreciation from
recruiters about the exceptional skills and attitude of our students
who joined them.

The current batch of our MBA students is a talented, intelligent

and dynamic group of youngsters who are working hard to shape a
great future ahead for themselves and the companies they will work
with. I am confident that with the education they are getting on the

‘KRISHIMUKH’ AGRIBUSINESS CONCLAVE 2016

“Agriculture is the most healthful, most useful and most noble employment of man.” - George
Washington

The University takes distinct pride in being one of the few academic institutions in India which
offer management degrees in the expansive and critical domain of Agriculture. With a view to reaffirm our
relentless allegiance to holistic, progressive, sustainable and at the same time, commercially viable agricultural
endeavours, the students of Agribusiness Management, on December 21, 2016, organised the inaugural
Agribusiness Conclave – Krishimukh.

Krishimukh 2016 was essentially a tribute to the vast farming and rural communities of our nation and
a deliberation on how to resolve the age old challenges that this sector has been grappling with, particularly
in the last few decades. In a bold move away from the traditional approach of research paper presentation,
the Conclave invited its participating students to conceptualise effective marketing strategies, tailor made for
agricultural and organic produce. Subsequently, they were directed towards brainstorming for business plans
aimed at facilitating self-sustainability and economic independence for an entire village/rural community. To
inspire the students and kindle the spirit of entrepreneurship in this crucial domain, the University invited
visionaries such as Dr. B. Prabhakar Rao, Trustee, Sri Sri Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Lt. Col. Ashit
Mahapatra (Retd.) - CEO Agri Link Food Processing Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Harshad Joshi - CEO, Maahi Dairy. The
dignitaries unanimously called for rapid adaptation, aligning with global technological advancements and the
paramount pursuit of self-sufficiency by the restructuring of Indian agriculture.

We needed more experienced people from India. Therefore,

we visited Sri Sri University. After my visit I was very impressed
by the total i.e. the location, the knowledge and the atmosphere.
I met 10 students and they pitched their ideas to me, which they
did really well. I was really impressed by the management and
the things they said which I was recollecting all my way back and
which will remain with me all my life.
