The Green Mile

Oliver, 1/2. Engelsk opgave til torsdag.

Paul Edgecomb
Paul was in charge of the green mile. He was not very old, and he
treated the inmates like they treated him. He talk to them like there
where his friend. But if someone didn’t treat him well, he would be
angry at them. Paul had a disease a start of the movie. He was in
trouble when he peed and it really hurt. he would not go to the
doctor for some reason, he was lucky that John Coffey one day help
him. He tried to create a good atmosphere because itwas the
inmates last place to be. He feelt very bad, and so did all the other
police officer in the green mile, because only they knew that he was
innocent. He could not do anything about it, he was not in charge of
it. His job was just to get them to feel good, and killthem in the
electric chair after some time.

John Coffey
John was a big black man, he was vey tail and strong. At the start,
he looked a bit evil. But when you head, what there came out his
mouth and what he did, he seemed like a very nice person. I think
he was beaten when he was a kid, sometimes when he was adult
too. He looked like every strong, but inside he was very small and
peaceful. Because the police, and the other villages from the city,
found him with to small kids in his arms. They was both death. I
think it’s the pain, he have to let it go or else he will get the
disease. Because Paul treated John good, and he want to get rid of
it, and all the pain he had inside him. He wanted to die, because he
didn’t like the world, there was to much pain over all.

Persy Wetmore
He was a small angry man he was not pretty or strong. He worked
at the green mile, because he had some family, who decided many
things. He felt that he was better than the inmates. he'd just had
them to feel bad, and that he did. Because it’s was Dels mouse, he
didn’t like Del, and Del didn’t like him. But the mouse was Dels only
friend that was one of the most evil things he could do. Because he
just was like that, he just wanted to see some having it bad. He had
said that if he would be allowed to be in charge of a exetion, he
would ask to be transferred.

Edward Delacroix

He was a small man who seemed to have spent much time in jail or
E block. In the movie he seemed very friendly and looked like one
who could do no harm. Del as he was called, loved the mouse
because it was his only friend. It could do some tricks like a circus
mouse, everybody in the E block liked the mouse. It was Percy
Wetmore who was responsible for Dels execution, and because he
was a very bad man, he purposely forgot to make the sponge wet.
Things went wrong, and Del did not die fast enough, so he felt the
pain of being burned.

Wild Bill Wharton

He is hard to describe, but he looked like one who was dangerous, a

man you would not like to meet a dark night. His teeth were very
yellow, and he seemed very crazy.
The first time he came in the E block, he left like he was retarded
because he had entered, he began to go berserk. The officers had a
hard time to stop him but got him stopped at the end.

Questions

I think the message of the movie is that everybody donna die

sometime, and that you should not condemn people on their
appearance, the exempel is Big john. He looked like a very hostile
man, but he was an engel he could help many people !
I liked the movie, it was a movie with good actors and a good story.
I think is okay, if people are like Wild Bill, but unlucky there are
many innocence people who are dead because the police man
where wrong, that’s just no good.
