Travel Writing

Staying on top with travel trends is essential for every company in the travel business. While
fads come and go, some travel trends indicate the industry's general direction. Recognizing and
embracing these travel trends are crucial if you want to be relevant in the future.

A trend is described as a generalized shift in condition or behavior, or a general direction in

which events are taking place. A variety of advancements in tourism have resulted in changes in
consumer behavior and corporate operations, which are to blame for the emergence of new
travel trends. And here the (5) previous travel trends for the past five years (5)

 Previous travel trends

- Multigenerational travel
- Work and Travel
- Solo Travelers
- Travel like a Local
- Going back to the past

The first is multigenerational travel, which saw a significant surge in interest during that period
since this travel trend refers to the numerous generations of one family enjoying holidays
together. Families of all ages will travel to reconnect and make new memories together,
including parents, children, and grandparents. Second is work and travel; in 2017, individuals
traveled not to unwind, but to conduct business, which expands the notion for even longer
periods. However, some of them will spend a few additional days or even weeks on personal
travels during that period. Third, solo travelers in this generation like to travel alone since some
people are getting more courageous to see the world and do new things when they are alone,
and with the advancement of technology and the emergence of numerous travel websites and
blogs, people are increasingly inspired or motivated to travel rather stay at home.

Forth is travel like a local, in this trends, some people are most prefer to travel internationally,
however, some of them choose to travel locally, because they want to learn more about the
nation's rich history and culture, which even textbooks tend to overlook and to develop a far
deeper and more meaningful relationship with their own country. And the last previous travel
trend is going back to the past some individual traveling not just for leisure and fun but they
travel because they want to experience their most precious childhood memories and return to
destinations that have always remained in the heart. And now here the three (3) possible travel
trends for the next five (5) years.

- Virtual reality
- Artificial intelligence, Robot/Machineries
 - Contactless Technologies

In my opinion, these three (3) possible travel trends have a potential that will be able to make
people's traveling experiences easy, comfortable, save money and time, while also inclining and
collaborating more on the technology that is conspicuously leading in this generation. Since
technology developments are at the heart of many travel trends. And Through evolving of
technology, you can now easily find information about the latest travel trends in the world
through different online platforms. Furthermore, as technology advances, many things can be
innovated, such as how to help tourists. For example, in Google, before you could type to find
information, then now you can easily find the information without wasting time typing because
you can search using your voice, which makes it easier, especially for your customers, to locate
travel trends. And lastly, through evolving of technology in the five years, I think our world will be
more high-tech and make it easier for us with living to technology advancement.
