PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE GOALS
Goal: Indicators/Evidence:
1. Professional Knowledge Goal:
To deliver lessons that incorporate
one of the ‘8 Ways’ pedagogies at
minimum once weekly from week 2
onwards; and to use these
pedagogies and assessment
strategies within a lesson that draws
upon a local Aboriginal resource by
week 6.
This is to support student
engagement of Indigenous students
and to also promote a respect and
understanding of Indigenous
Australians (for both Indigenous and
non-Indigenous students), and as
such promote reconciliation. This will
also bring students together with their
local community and raise their
awareness of local resources.

2. Professional Practice Goal:
To use formative and diagnostic
assessment for learning from the first
lesson, and adjust subsequent
lessons accordingly; and also use
summative assessment of learning to
report on student achievement by
making consistent and comparable
judgements.
This is to support the further
development and refinement of the
skills, knowledge and understandings
required to confidently report on
student achievement and apply
assessment of and for learning to
adjust lessons accordingly; so as to
support students meeting learning
outcomes.

Engaging professionally with
parents/carers also assists in
knowing about your students and so
knowing how they learn.
