Project Title:
Project Description:
This project involves computer science, internet of things and Various Sensors. The main
purpose of the project is to use sensor to measure moisture and temperature of plants
in agricultural fields/greenhouse to create atmosphere according to plant weather conditon
In this project, the computer is used for code the arduino to operate the sensors and measure
according its working mechanism. Humidity , moisture and temperature plays very important
role in growth of plants. Plants are, by nature, responsive to their environments. Furthermore,
plants depend on a certain set of air conditions to survive. This is primarily due to their need to
respire. Respiration in plants is the process of water leaving the leaves through evaporation via the
stomata on the underside of the leaves. Humidity and temperature go hand-in-hand when it comes
to raising crops in a greenhouse. Partially because imbalances in either can often give similar results.
As we move ever more into the age of the Internet of Things, the range of sensors and transmitters to
aid agricultural processes growing rapidly. This means that large-scale greenhouse management is
no longer a guessing game, it is now possible to measure the exact conditions of your growing environ-
ment and base your actions upon that or even automate these processes. Smart sensors coupled to
responsive automation systems which can perform functions such as regulating the temperature and
humidity of your greenhouse growers can leave these basic functions to the technology.
This frees more time for more demanding, less mundane operations.
So here we are using the sensors to sense the moisture and temperature of soil to provide the plants
a sound environment which result in good crops.

Innovativeness & Usefulness:
Any farmer will tell you that the conditions of the soil change constantly throughout the
growing season. The soil conditions are influenced by the weather, row density, crop
patterns, and more. During this period, the plants are continuously changing and adapting
to the environment. The plant’s roots and shoots grow in soil most advantageous to growth.
To help farmers adjust to these ever-changing conditions, soil and water sensors are being
employed. Soil moisture sensors estimate the volume of water content based on the dielectric
constant of the soil. Humidity and temperature go hand-in-hand when it comes to raising
crops in the greenhouse at high temperatures, with low relative humidity, plants tend to
close their stomata in order to preserve water. However, warm air is more capable of holding
larger volumes of moisture, meaning that the combination of high relative humidity and high
temperature can belethal.
