In performing our major project, we had to take the help and guideline of
some respected persons, who deserve our greatest gratitude. The completion
of this assignment gives us much pleasure. We would like to show our

guideline for reporting throughout numerous consultations. We would also like

guided us in writing this assignment. Many people, our classmates, and team

us
an inspiration to improve our assignment. We thank all the people for their

ABSTRACT

This project's goal is to develop a program that can save information


about a specific bank account holder. The resulting application will
be user-friendly and allow the user to enter new data while the
program is running. Hence the program will be interactive. This code
heavily relies on file handling, reducing the need to manually
assemble data and information.
INTRODUCTION

In today’s world, the way of functioning and managing the system has been
totally changed. There is a sudden and abrupt change in the structural
maintenance and modification, handling, and leveling inside every system.
Without managing systems through computer applications and programming,
the development of infrastructure is unfinished. There are many errors and
drawbacks without the use of computer programming and application.
As we know, ”necessity is the mother of invention”, so in today’s challenging
world, every system is developed and launched by the use of computer
software and programming. As a Customer and hotel are two related terms of
business field, there should be the proper way of management. The title of the
project is related to the hotel i.e., “Hotel Management system” .hotel
management system deals with basic record of customer and staffs, room
details, restaurant details ,report etc. of the hotel.
Due to the excessive growing number of hotels in the world, it is very enough
to handle important files and data of the hotel correctly, efficiently, and
systematically. The location of this data may be inaccurate and difficult to
access when they are required. So by the use of the Hotel Management
System, users can easily maintain files and records in a systematic way. Only
authorized users are allowed to enter the system. So security is also
maintained in the system. The other feature of this management system is file
storage safely, easy access when needed, data addition, deletion, and
modification. Thus, the hotel Management system being one of the major
necessity in today’s business filed. So it can solve almost all the problems and
can be reached to each and every requirement of the user.
Proposed System and
Objectives

The hotel management system is a simple application, which is


especially generated and designed for the low level to star hotels in
order to enter the various records and information, and can perform
other functions like addition, deletion, searching, and modification if
required. It is username and password protected as well. So a hotel
needs a normal computer application where it has the ability to do
all those tasks like other programs do.
Following are the major objectives behind the new proposed
system;
 It creates a user-friendly environment, where a normal user can
easily access all the benefits of the system.
 It provides security from unauthorized access, only admin or
authorized users is access granted to the system.
 It increases efficiency and saves time.
 No any er and obstacles from external entities.
 Easy access to saved data inside the system.
CONCLUSION

1. Program Weakness
As we know, no program can be efficient and 100%
reliable. So, there are also some drawbacks to our
system which are as follows:
 It cannot perform all the required functions as of
professional one, it is simply a record-keeping of the
hotel management system.

 The system is not sharply a graphical user interface.


There is just the use of some text colors and borders.

 It is not multipurpose and multitasking. It can’t


perform the various task at a single time

2. Program Strengths
There are many advantages of using this program as it
contains various features like:
 Its actually a user-friendly software, as it is ease to use
by just following. The instructions as it appears on the
screen.
 This program has a login system so that only
authorized users can only be allowed to access through
the internal main system.

 Input name should be matched the name entered


already in the system in order to perform modification,
deletion, and searching so that the record will be safe
totally.

3. Program Enhancement
Users can add extra enhancements in the system as per
necessity in the future for the fulfillment of the
requirement.

 For security purposes ,advanced encryption


techniques can be applied.
Current System
Some old record-keeping systems are existed till now in
most hotels. No developments have been made
through the use of computer systems. All the records
are managed by using huge paper-made registers, note-
copies, and hardcovers. So it is not a kind of data
management. It is an unsafe as well as uncivilized way
of filling and indexing the system. There is some
software for doing these words. But they are of the huge
amount of installation.

Due to these reasons, the hotel system in the country is


undeveloped. Many unwanted environmental factors like
fire, rain, etc. damage the handwritten files. Not only
natural disasters but also theft and robbery are also
equally affecting the loss of data, important records, and
files.
FUTURE WORK
• Mobile & tablet optimized:
When your manager, housekeeping team, and other
staff members need to check details on a booking
quickly they shouldn’t have to rush back to the office.
Any system you use must not only be accessible but
also optimized for use on mobile phones and tablets.
Better yet, your owner should be able to check
performance while on holiday.

• Guest profiles:
Are you working on building guest loyalty? Guest
profiles store your guests’ contact information, stay
history, and even preferences so that you can deliver a
more personalized experience during their next stay.
Better yet, a guest profile with stored CCs of your guest
will make it even easier for returning guests.

• Email automation: You can communicate with guests


and reduce manual work for your staff by deploying
personalized, customized, and automated emails. Using
your templates, automated email functionality allows
you to build a communication journey from the initial
booking to targeted offers for repeat guests.

• Housekeeping management: Your PMS should allow


your housekeeping team to mark rooms as clean, dirty,
or out of order. Having this information in one central
place gives the front desk visibility of room statuses so
that they can accommodate early check-ins and room
moves without needing to radio the housekeeping
supervisor.

• Reservation management: Perhaps the absolute


most essential PMS feature is reservations
management and front office features. By housing all of
your reservations digitally, hoteliers can make a paper
reservation book a thing of the past. Within
reservations management, you should be able to set
rates, control availability, offer promotions, and
visualize reservations on a calendar.
• Group bookings/reservations:
If your hotel plans on hosting any type of event or group
of guests, then group reservations functionality is
crucial. Group reservation features include allowing
guests to book reservations within the room block,
exporting a room list, and configuring billing settings so
that you can bill one account for multiple rooms.
• Invoicing:
When most guests check out, they want a copy of their
bill, so, your PMS should be able to easily export guests’
folios that contain all charges from their stay. Similarly,
you’ll want solid, straightforward financial reporting that
helps you reconcile revenue and expenses from room
revenue, outlets, vendors, and more.
• Rate management: Do you want to offer a non-
refundable rate or value-added packages? If so, you’ll
want rate management functionality that allows for
multiple, customizable rate plans.

• User logs & permissions: With so much turnover in


the hotel industry, it is important to keep front-line staff
accountable with detailed user logs to have an
automated record in case of any mistakes, as well as to
ensure proper training and issue resolution.
Additionally, we are living in a world where consumers
demand heightened security, so staff must be only able
to access the parts of the hotel management system
required to complete their core tasks without
unnecessarily accessing sensitive information like
credit card data.
