Suggested Documentation in case of Dual EFB Failure inflight or if Standby EFB Not
Available
1. The Flysmart+ Suite and eQRH applications can be used without the Viewable
Stowage (Mounts) for performance computations, eQRH checklists, eQRH
normal/abnormal procedures. In case of failure of both Viewable Stowage
mounts, paper backup of Jeppesen Airport and Enroute charts are to be used. The
unsecured EFB is required to be stowed in the side stowage when not in use and
during critical phases of flight.
Pursuant to the approval for flights to be conducted using EFB by DGCA, one copy of
a sealed Jeppesen Manual will be kept on board. The Jeppesen manual is to be used
only in case of Dual EFB Failure or both Viewable Stowage (Mount) failures. PIC will
be required to fill form kept along with the manual and email a copy of the filled
form to the Flight Dispatch of originating as well as terminating station so that the
manual can be replaced with a sealed copy during night stop of the aircraft. A copy
of the email is to be marked to GMO as well as EFB Manager. The filled form is to be
placed back in the manual.
All crew are expected to place the charts back in the proper sequence after use for
further use by next crew.
For flights conducted using EFB the documents as listed in attached Appendix A are
mandatory to be carried on board.
