Case Study 4 - Solar Power Plant Hot Oil Piping
PROBLEM: The system was designed with Caesar without the structure and after
Start-Up the pumps failed. In the model with NO structure there is NO Overstress
but when re-Modeled in AutoPIPE with Structure from STAAD confirmed the
Piping system is overstressed and Pump loads too high. Output header also has
primary overstress when the supports that lift-off are removed.

PROBLEM: The Structure was too flexible to support all the piping loads
SOLUTION : New RIGID Structure integrated with a more accurate pipe stress model
