INSPIRED DESIGNING U nbuild is freeing life from concrete cubicles called

BY A VISIONARY ARCHITECT rooms and bringing it back to nature. This is the


cornerstone philosophy that sets Parksyde apart from
anything you would have ever seen.

“Raipur prides itself on its joint family culture and thrives on relationships, chance encounters, impromptu
engagements and spontaneous randevous. The Parksyde elevated walkway is an expression of this
essential cultural ethos of the city. It will reinforce these engagements as well bring something for everyone;
the kids recreational zones, it is elderly and specially-abled friendly as well as cosy corners for the youth &
adults.
We drew our inspiration for this from The High Line – a thriving park built on an historic abandoned freight
line above Manhattan’s West Side Street an experiential space with open-air cafes, pathways, water feature
and amphitheatres with a view of the Hudson River below. The Parksyde Elevated Walkway is our Raipur’s
very own High Line life..

T he most prominent feature of The Parksyde is also the most unique concept that Raipur will experience for the
very first time – the elevated walkway. A single walkway that starts at the ground floor and very gently rises up to
the fourth floor connecting all the towers on its way. The slope is so gradual that one can be excused for not realising
one has actually reached the fourth floor.

While on its way up the 1.12 acre, 40% graden scaped walkway
overlooks the central garden area. More than half of it is shaded
by the colonnade, making it an all-weather engagement zone.
It is designed to become a place of daily interactions with its
walkout zones, cantilevered bridges, and recreational
enclaves. A range of utility stores, cafes etc line it giving it a
high-street feel.
