Structural verification of the anchorage zone:

Verification of the load capacity for anchorage zone has been done using the strut and tie method.
Strut and tie model according to the below figure has been assumed:
Verification of ultimate limit state:
• Tie

N td 327.56 kN .1000
AB ⇒ As1 = = = 779.90mm2
f sd 4 20 N /mm2

It is adopted 8 bars #4 = 1032mm2 ⇒ r = 1.32

• Struts

The struts resistance has been checked by computing the strut widths and checked whether they
fit in the space available. The width of the struts is given with the following equation:

N cd
bi =
k ci . f cd . t

fcd = 35MPa

t = 500mm -- assumed thickness of strut in longitudinal direction

kc = 0.60 − for diagonal struts

kc = 0.80 − for vertical struts

1164.01∗1000
b=
0.6∗35∗500 = 112 mm

1175∗1000
b= = 84 mm
0.8∗35∗500

As shown in the figure below all strut widths fit into outline of the cross section, thus this solution is
acceptable.
