New Delhi

Dear Sir/ Madam,

The purpose of writing this request letter is to show my genuine intent to study in Canada for the up gradation of
knowledge, skills and international experience.

I am a dedicated and hardworking person who has an optimistic attitude in every phase of life. I am born and raised
in an educated family and highly passionate about my studies and career. In order to meet my goal, I had made an
application of student visa for March 2020 session but it was refused on the basis of purpose of visit.

I respect the decision of your esteem office. I am going to reapply after analysis and work out of the above-
mentioned grounds. I reconfirm to your office that I am academically qualified, from the well-established family,
have firm family ties in India and have competence to study and complete my course.

Academic Background and Work Experience:

Regarding my educational qualification, I have pursued Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics in 2017
with 60% marks from Guru Nanak Dev University, a top star rated university by national assessment and
accreditation council, India. Thereafter, I completed my Senior Secondary from the Punjab School Education Board
with biology as a main subject in science stream in 2014 with 78.88% marks. Since my higher school, an interest for
Nutrition and dietetics grew inside me. I started researching about this course and scope when I was in class 11.
After my long research and because of my passion, I made my decision to study Nutrition and Dietetics and I
successfully completed Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics in 2017 with 60% marks from Guru
Nanak Dev University, a top star rated university by national assessment and accreditation council, India.

After my graduation, I did mandatory three months of internship training as a Dietitian in Shri Guru Ram Das Institute
of Medical Sciences and Research from July 2017 to September 2017. To add weightage to my experience, I further
worked as a Dietitian in Ranjit Hospital from November 2017 till February 2018 and Gupta Hospital from March 2018
till March 2018. After that, I worked in KD Hospital as a Dietitian from May 2019 till June 2021. My job
responsibilities were there to provide health advice and promoting healthy eating, advising about special diets,
making presentations, writing reports, educating health professionals and the public about nutrition, establishing
and addressing key health needs, helping to facilitate dietary changes. The journey of my job is quite motivating and
I learnt excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships with patients and personal skills such as time
management, critical thinking, leadership, communication skills to help people so as to make health-conscious
decisions about food and lifestyle. In brief, I will describe my working experience as highly valuable and a learning
lesson for my life.

Future course and purpose of pursuing the course:

In today's lifestyle when health related problems like obesity, blood pressure are so prevalent, Diet plays a major
role in promotion of health and well-being of a human being. During my job, I realised people have become more
conscious about the way they look, what they eat but they lack right guidance. Quality of life depends on the quality
of food we eat. Dieticians or nutritionists help to promote good health by correcting the eating habits. My home
country provides traditional ways of teaching which lacks modernization, innovation and creativity especially in the
case of Nutrition and Dietetics. I want to enhance my skills and experience to apply my knowledge in real life
situations. Moreover, I aim to get employment opportunities in international job markets in India. Therefore, I have
decided to study Food and Nutrition Management from Georgian college. These days, nutrition plays a big role in our
lives, affecting daily habits and health behaviours; by learning this course, I will become very passionate about
helping patients to achieve their goals and to lead healthier lives. Additionally, I will develop trusting relationships
with many patients by assisting them to keep a healthy weight, boost their immune system, increase their energy
levels, and reduce the risk of developing certain diseases. Further, I strongly believe that I have acquired and
qualified the necessary characteristics while performing my job duties and now I am seeking to acquire the skills and
knowledge to supplement these to become an excellent, effective and caring dietitian.

The future program is a one-year graduate certificate program which will enable me to manage a food services
department while adhering to professional standards, quality management programs, nutritional and healthy
living principles and marketing and promotional activities. In addition, it will prepare me to employ a number of
more complex functions supporting organizational effectiveness including supporting the design of food and
nutrition human resource plan, financial analysis and control, and collaborating in the preparation of an
organization's business plan or client care plan. The subjects which I will study are: Advanced Clinical Analysis,
Biological Sciences, Clinical Nutrition, Disease and Disability, Facility Design, Finance and Accounting, Introduction to
Financial and Management Accounting, Food Modification, Food Service Management-Basic, Food Service
Management-Advanced, Human Resource Management, Principles of HR Management, Professional Issues, Quality
Management -Sanitation etc. This course will derive ability in me to monitor relevant local, national and global
trends, emerging technologies, changes to legislation and best practices to enhance work performance that may
impact the management and delivery of food and nutrition services, deliver customer service that anticipates, meets
or exceeds individual expectations and is consistent with organization standards and objectives. Also, I will learn to
use the most up-to-date public health and scientific research on food, health and disease, which they translate into
practical guidance to enable people to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices. This is an accelerated
programme to build on prior learning and provides a practical and sound scientific base in all the subjects necessary
for a full understanding of the issues and concepts related to dietetics and nutrition. It will help me to become a
safe, effective learner and practitioner in all fields of dietetic practice.

Moreover, I have studied basic nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, food preservation and storage, food science,
community nutrition, food hygiene and sanitation etc in my Bachelor of science and is having almost four years of
experience as a Dietician which will help me to become a safe, effective learner and practitioner in all fields of
dietetic practice. Thus, the future program is an ideal up gradation of my previous studies and work experience and
also offers a great up gradation of my knowledge and skills.

Career opportunities:

Graduating with this course is the start of lifelong learning and an establishment of varied career options. The
successful completion of this program will open multiple gates of opportunities for me. I will get a learning platform
to complete masters in the same domain in several universities worldwide such as Mount Saint Vincent University,
McGill University, University of Saskatchewan and so on. In addition, I will get an opportunity to work in Canada by
applying post study work permit. It will provide my international exposure with new dimensions to my academic,
practical, personal, communication and adaptability skills to scale new horizons in the industry. After completing my
studies and having international work experience, I will definitely come back to my home country to restart my
professional life and to emulate these merits in my homeland. Moreover, In India, there are bright opportunities for
people with an international degree. As India is a progressive country, there is a need for qualified public health
experts, managing various areas of nutritional care, food preparation, and food service. So, I will use my professional
skills, knowledge and the exposure for the development of the public health sector in my community and the whole
nation. This course will open several new opportunities for me. I can choose to work in a wide variety of
management career fields such as a health care, retirement homes, long term care facilities, fitness and wellness
facilities, educational institutions, camps, day care facilities, and community or commercial settings etc. I can work as
a Food service associate, Nutrition assistant, health coach, health educator, food technologist, dietitian in most of
recognised and dignified corporate hospital chains such as Apollo hospital, Max hospital, Fortis hospital, Vedanta

investment and time.

supports me emotionally and financially and is capable of bearing my study expenses. Even all of my relatives are
well established, financially stable and are living in various parts of India. Therefore, I have strong family ties in my

My father, Mr. Kulwant Singh is working as an Agriculturist and my mother Mrs. Sarabjeet Kaur is a housewife.
Regarding my siblings my elder brother, Mr. Gurpal singh is working as a President Municipal Council in India, Mr.
Jagroop singh is a permanent resident in Canada, working as a Sales Associate and Mr. Charnjit singh is working as a

parents are having an annual income of approximately INR 1114500.00 (CAD 18575.00). Thus, I am financially stable
and have sufficient funds to complete my education in Canada. All the certificates related to above declared
incomes, college deposit and GIC certificates are attached with my application. I authorize your office to verify it
from the concerned authorities and financial institutes.
