1. What is a global city? What are the indicators for a place to be called a global city?

A global city is the most significant and influential city in the world, including all aspects of
globalization. These elements are cultural experience, corporate activity, human capital, and political
participation. It is widely regarded as a major node in the global economic system. The most
sophisticated of these entities is the "global city," in which the relationships that bind a city have a direct
and palpable impact on world politics via socioeconomic methods. It also has the ability to influence
global concerns and alter the global viewpoint. They can achieve this by controlling and modifying the
global economy's path through a variety of institutions ranging from politics to military and economics.

Firstly, a global city is home to major stock exchanges and indexes because a global city must have
a large amount of capital, as well as knowledge of commerce, business, and global corporations. The size
of a city does not define its worldwide status; rather, its infrastructure and workforce do. Next, a global
city is influential in international political affairs for cities are gaining recognition and legitimacy as
recognized and legal participants in the international system, and they are beginning to have a genuine
effect on global governance results. These currently play a vital role in the three elements of sustainable
development: economic, social, and environmental. Next, a city should have a robust, strong, and
distinct culture, style, and history. This is due to the fact that culture is one of the most essential
industries in a city with many tourist attractions. Next, a global city service a major media hub to serve
as a focal point for initiatives with a worldwide impact all megacities and world cities, as well as smaller
towns, are global centers. Next, a global city have large mass transit networks because mass
transportation is a city's most sustainable solution for assisting the globe in combating climate change
and improving existing air quality. By reducing reliance on single-car transportation, communities can
minimize hazardous pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions. Next, a global city is a home to large
international airports because the great majority of visitors to the world's biggest cities arrive via an
airport. This is due, in part, to the cities' global dispersion, which attracts foreign visitors and
businesspeople from all over the world. And lastly, a global city have a prominent skyline because the
skyline symbolizes the size and economic importance of a city; its divides into residential commercial
and business sectors; and the cultural legacy of its architecture when viewed from a distance.
Historically, the skyline has been a symbol of power riches and success.
