- Her parents were very wealthy, and she attended a
lot of parties
- She did school and was very good at math and
statistics
- God called her to be a nurse.
- Her parents did not want her to be a nurse, instead
they wanted her to get married.
- Even though it wasn’t proper for her social status
and gender, Florence went to school to become a
nurse.
- She graduated school and went to help in the
Crimean War.
- The people were dying because of unsanitary
conditions in the war hospitals.
- She kept notes and numbers of the deaths and

- She made the conditions at the hospital much
