Element Research

1) You will need 2 FULL pages of COMPREHENSIVE HAND WRITTEN notes (front and back
each). Don’t just list a bunch of quick facts, 1 li(like melting points) and don’t just draw
pictures. Have at least the following
a. 1 book source (can find hard copies in Mrs. Lockwood or Mrs. Estavan’s rooms or
online (MackinviagroupsElement Resources)
b. 1 source from Gale Search Engine (MackinviagroupsElement Resources
Gale Science in Context in the search bar)
c. 1 electronic source: Google INTERATIVE PERIODIC TABLE and find a “good”
periodic table source for info (ex: https://www.ptable.com/, www.rsc.org,
www.chemicalelements.com, https://elements.wlonk.com/ElementsTable.htm,
https://www.chemicool.com/, http://www.chem4kids.com/files/elem_intro.html
and any other you may find)

2) Citations: Write, Cite and Highlight in your notebook


a. Hand write citations after EACH source notes and highlight (to make easy to find)
b. For Gale Science in Context source-scroll down to bottom of reference to see
citation
c. For book: Look for ISBN number (publisher page a few pages in the book) and
enter in easybib.com or citationmachine.net to create citation

d. For website: enter in easybib.com or citationmachine.net to create citation
