Thank you to the new and returning councillors for their dedication to the smooth
operation of our church and extending our mission. The Council is available
anytime for your comments, suggestions, questions, or concerns.

A Worship Schedule has been put together from March 6th till
the end of August 2022. We need Lay leaders, assistants and volunteers to
help with the readings. If you can help us, please sign the list on the vestibule
door or contact a member of Council. Thank you.

– MESSY CHURCH IN A BOX over Zoom, Monday March 28

Our next virtual Messy Church is scheduled for Monday March 28th, starting at
4:30 pm. The theme will be Easter and there will be a craft, game, Easter
message and singing. Everyone is welcome to join in! To request a Zoom invite
and a Messy Church in a box kit, please let Sylvia or Robin know by Monday
March 14th. Kits will be available for pickup at the church anytime from Sunday
March 20th.

• Parsonage – to do (2022):
 Paint kitchen ceiling (small spot over counter, paint purchased, by
member)
 Leaking car-port roof ($1,500, by contractor)
 Replace smoke detectors (purchased, by member)
 Re-locate kitchen smoke detector (by member)
• Church – to do (2022):
 Outdoor Lighting ($400 – material only, by member)
o Replace/repair security lighting at emergency exit, parking lot stairs
o Replace cross light, sign light
 Interior Lighting ($500 – labour and lamps, by contractor)
o Replace 4 x mural spotlight lamps
o Replace 2 x hanging fixture lamps
o Replace 1 x narthex lamp
 Emergency Lighting ($400 – material only, by member)
o Check 3 x exit lights – they may not be working
 Upgrade heating piping ($5,000, by contractor, labour, and material)
o At upper- and lower-circuit inlets install 2 x auto air-bleed valves,
replace 1 x pressure tank
o At utility incoming – replace back-flow valve, pressure regulator,
pressure gauge
o At furnace outlet – replace pressure regulator
o At ~4 radiators replace air-bleed valves (broken stems, can’t turn)

 Budget Review – The budget was reviewed and approved

 Get multiple quotes for the heating system and parsonage roof
repairs
 Moving expense estimate was provided by McWilliams Movers
for a typical 3-bedroom house
 The new pastor will live in the parsonage. Students’ lease
expires August 31 - Give the students 90 days’ notice of
termination of lease i.e. notify on June 1, 2022
 Pastor compensation includes parsonage accommodations
(taxable to pastor)

up by the person who identified them

o To serve communion, the worship leader must be an ordained
Lutheran of Anglican pastor
