Manage Process Templates

Users who are responsible for processes within process management can create and manage templates for their
company’s planning processes with this app. The Manage Process Templates app is used in combination with
the Manage Processes app.

Purpose
Process templates represent the model of your company’s planning process and can be reused for your recurring
planning cycles. This way, you don’t need to set up the process from scratch every time you want to repeat it.
For example, you can configure a template for your monthly S&OP planning cycle and reuse this template for
your S&OP planning cycle for July, August, September, and so on.

In the process template, you can define the most important aspects of your process, such as process steps,
durations, time zones, workdays on which the process should run, participants, or tasks. Optionally, you can
choose application jobs to run automatically at a specified point in time during the process, automate your
process using conditions, define permissions for viewing and editing planning data based on the process stage,
or configure collaboration with a collaboration tool for your process template.

A Gantt chart provides a detailed overview of the timelines and optional process step settings like process step
automation and application jobs.

Once your process template is set up, you can create a process from the template. This process represents a
concrete planning cycle, for example, your S&OP planning cycle for July. You can then manage your process in
the Manage Processes app.
