I am here with the interesting and the powerful lesson of life which everyone should know,
that is “APOLOGY”. I am going to tell you about a wonderful book named THE 4th SECRET OF
ONE MINUTE MANAGER .

The book is divided into fifteen beautiful chapters with a lots of learning lesson which a
person can use in the professional life as well as in the personal life too.

The main characters of the story Matt and Robert. Robert is the CEO of the company who is
photogenic and dynamic president with lots of arrogance too. Matt saw an arrogant
behaviour of Robert whom he used to admire all the time. Here lack of the element of 7 c’s
can be seen which has deteriorated the condition of the company

Robert asked Matt for a solution. Matt gets in tension then remembered his father’s advice
that anytime he get into the trouble just take advice from Jack Peterson (his father’s friend).

Jack Peterson and his family is the amazing human with lots of life learning lesson. When
Matt asked for help, he invited him for the weekend. The story gets more interesting when
Matt reached to Jack.

From the day itself, the lesson started. Jack told to him to stop using worry words, (if only
would have) those are discouraging words. Jack also praises Matt for his positive attitude.

Jack, after knowing the pathetic situation of Matt’s company, he told him about the tool of
One Minute Manager.

Those tools are:-

 One Minute Goals

 One Minute Praising
 One Minute Reprimands

Further, he said people mis concept praise and reprimands. So, he introduced the fourth
secret that is One Minute Apology that can reconstruct the every pathetic situation of
professional as well as personal life. Jack explained “Apologizing has the potential to correct
the wrong thing as well as to restore the confidence of others. Jack also said that denying
from the truth is the vital problem of the anything. Jack also include that “Honesty and
Integrity “is the basic part of one minute apology.

The daughter of Jack also advice him and given him some great lesson. She said that her dad
taught her that great leader give everyone else credit when things go well and take full
responsibility when things go wrong but the self-centred leaders exactly visa-a-versa of the
upper scenario.

Matt used to note everything in his note pad. The every single word of the family. They are
great with Nana, they have shared many stories with each other. Story about Alfred Novel,
Abraham Lincoln and a scared man who later became their hero. Some school times stories
also has been shared.

These all stories have only one moral lesson that apology is the key of every problem.

The story also teaches us that every time worrying about the outcome harms our
performance. One should follow “N.A.T.O i.e Not Attached to Outcomes”.
As I am discussing about apology, an apology should bring change. Just by saying “SORRY”,
you can’t restore someone’s trust, you must proof your SORRY through change in your
action.

from “. You must read this, a beautiful lesson for life.

One more tremendous lesson was given by the minister through his story that “NO” matter
how much you push or shove for money, recognition, power, prestige, and possession,
when life is over, everything goes back in the box. The only thing you get to keep is your soul
who you loved and who loved you.

Then Matt departed from Jack house with lots of lesson. Jack also told him that he can thank
him by applying him One Minute Apology in his life as well as by sharing with other too.

Matt reached office, met Robert. Later, conveyed his all the lesson regarding One Minute
Apology to the arrogant CEO of the company. After conveying the lesson about the apology
that has helped Robert to reconstruct his concepts about 7 C’s, golden circle and golden
triangle which is very helpful to Robert.

The turning point moment, Robert apologized to everybody whom he harmed through his
arrogant action and also promise to restructure the pathetic situation of the sinking
company.

There are also highlighted lesson between or at the end of every chapter.
