18 Compensating chain and partition plate


18-1 Installation of compensating chain

(1) Install the compensating chain. Make sure that it is not twisted (See C-17-1.1a for details).
(2) After installing the compensating chain, check that there is no problems by moving the car up and down
repeatedly.
(3) The distance between the bottom end of the compensating chain and the pit floor must be as follows.
Travel < 60 m: 100 to 125
60 < Travel < 80 m: 150 to 175
(4) Adjust the excess length of the chain by folding it down on the car side, and fix it with a plastic binder.

18-2 Installation of partition plate (CWT screen)


(1) To fix the partition plate on the rails, use rail clips to be tightened with M8 bolts.
(2) If the partition plate interferes with the rail bracket at B, cut the plate with sandpaper.
(3) Check that the distance between the partition plate and the car suspension sheave (dimension C) is 15
mm or more when the car stops.
