e)Python

Python is an interpreted, high-level and general-purpose programming language. Python's design philosophy emphasizes code
readability with its notable use of significant indentation.

Figure 5:python

Advantages of python:
Page 13

Python is replacing excel spreadsheets, and it is primarily due to the inability of MS- excel to provide the scalability that modern
business needs. Excel serves its purpose as long as

 The datasets are small.

 We do not need multi-layer processing and analysis.

 Real-time information is not needed.

It is clear as crystal that in the present data-driven business ecosystem, the above expectations fall way off the mark. Python has
emerged as a potential data processing and management solution for creating applications that help businesses to make sense of their
data.

If you spend a considerable amount of your daily working hours on excel, then it will be very wise for you to turn to Python for your
data application.

In addition, python also has a great support in data preprocessing. The purpose is to filter out valuable data in the evaluation, so it also
plays a part in better development and support in decision making.

2. How business intelligence tools can contribute to effective decision-making.

Over a period of time, companies invest a lot of resources in developing and deploying various tools to enable decision-making. These
tools include the generation of business intelligence reports, dashboards, and web-based applications. Business intelligence tools have
become integral to the success of a company. The bottom line is that the use of these tools can help transform the way decision-
making is organized and the way risk is managed.

As with most other decisions, good decision-making in business can lead to good results. With a careful process of analysis, analysis
of data can help a company make intelligent decisions for its business.  When making decisions, the first step in using Business
Intelligence is to define and understand the problem. This may occur to the business in the form of strategic planning, which includes
defining the mission and values of the company.

The goal of using a Business Intelligence solution is to increase business productivity and improve decision-making; which will
reduce risk. Decision-making for reducing the risk that can be modeled as a decision tree, risks are classified as “low”, “medium”, and
“high” based on their frequency and severity. In general, high-risk decisions are more difficult and require more careful planning.

Being able to collect and aggregate data can provide a lot of value in business today. It gives you the ability to make decisions and
take actions based on the same data that drives so many of the decisions in the first place. This is what business intelligence is all
Page 14

about.

.III: The legal issues involved in the secure exploitation of business intelligence tools.(p6)

Business intelligence (BI) has long been a valuable resource for law firms, largely serving the functions of library and research. BI has
traditionally been used to catch a moment in time and disseminate static information on various subjects such as clients, industries,
and attorneys through bundled publications, dashboard-based information presentations, and data processing. The current position of
business intelligence (BI) ranges from showing industry data to making choices, evaluating historical results, and monitoring goals;
but, as law firms' and businesses' demands become more nuanced, the challenge is changing. When we conduct e-commerce activity,
we note that the industry is quickly evolving, and businesses are scrambling to keep up. When planning to market products or services
online, a tourism company owner can keep the regulatory implications of e-commerce in mind. The following are the legal
considerations present with the safe use of business intelligence tools:

1: Legal issues in law

Legal issues in business will arise when you are not in line with certain laws. There are certain legal standards that you need to uphold
as a business, which is all clearly outlined by governmental laws.

Ethical issues do not necessarily have a legal base. They are based on human ethics, values, and the concept of right and wrong.
Ethical issues may arise in your business if you cut corners and do not treat your employees or customers with respect.

2. Maintain privacy of clients.

Client’s confidentiality has revolutionized the physical world. Why do you expect to protect information with increasing dependency
on online portals and access to devices? The confidential information of each individual shouldn’t be shared to anyone.

3. Privacy and security in BI

THE GROWTH of Business Intelligence market, the privacy and security issues are also growing concern over business
community. It is everyone’s right to control information about them and there are laws and policies to safeguard individual right but
are ineffective. Companies use BI to collect and analyze data for improving their performance, therefore it becomes important to
access and maintain secure information. Though, on one side technological developments make it easy to access information freely
Page 15

from various sources on the other hand it becomes essential to develop system that can secure that information from misuse by
outsiders.

4. Digital Ownership.
Digital media has allowed information to flow freer than ever before. This comes with a legal and ethical reaction against this
exchange of ideas. How can ownership be defined in the digital realm? Things can be copied and shared very quickly online. That
makes intellectual property difficult to manage. Legal concepts like copyright failed to keep up with modern days.

5. Data Gathering.
All is aware that their online activities are being watched at some stage. The United States has also passed legislation requiring federal
action to monitor private citizens in the interest of national security. These actions reignited a debate about what knowledge could be
gathered and why. In a smaller scale, this debate arises as businesses must determine what knowledge their employees need. A
constant query is triggered by this problem. Will the public be aware of the data that is being monitored? Will they have the right to
see how their data were used?

IV: The examples of organizations that have used business intelligence tools to enhance or improve operations.(p6)
Business intelligence (BI) can add value to almost any business process, create a holistic view, and empower their own data analytics
teams to find efficiencies and make informed decisions. Better daily setting. Digital transformation is now seen as a key strategic
initiative, and business intelligence tools have evolved to help companies get the most out of their data investments. In response is the
rise of modern business intelligence platforms that support data access, interaction, analysis, discovery, sharing, and governance.
Below I will give examples of big name companies using modern business

Coca-Cola Bottling Company maximized operational efficiency

a) Company: Coca-Cola Bottling Company (CCBC), Coca Cola’s largest independent bottling partner

Problem: Manual reporting processes restricted access to real-time sales and operations data

Solution: Coca-Cola's business intelligence team handles reporting for all sales and delivery operations at the company. With their
BI platform, the team automated manual reporting processes, saving over 260 hours a year—more than six 40-hour work weeks.
Report automation and other enterprise system integrations put customer relationship management (CRM) data back into the hands of
Page 16

sales teams in the field through mobile dashboards that provide timely, actionable information and a distinct competitive advantage. A
self-service BI implementation fosters more effective collaborations between IT and business users that maximize the expertise of
participants. Analysts and IT can focus on big-picture strategy and long-term innovations such as enterprise data governance rather
than manual research and reporting tasks

b) HelloFresh centralized digital marketing reporting to increase conversions

Company: HelloFresh

Problem: Digital marketing reporting was time-intensive, manual, and inefficient.

Solution: For meal kit company HelloFresh, a centralized business intelligence solution saved the marketing analytics team 10-20
working hours per day by automating reporting processes. It also empowered the larger marketing team to craft regional,
individualized digital marketing campaigns. Based on aggregate analyses of customer behavior, HelloFresh created three buyer
personas to guide their efforts. Being able to see and track real-time data means the team can react to customer behaviors and
optimize marketing campaigns. As a result, they saw increased conversion rates and improved customer retention

V:CONCLUSION.
In the sections above, I have shown how BI tools help in decision making. Along with that are legal issues in BI and the content of
each issue. Finally, I have given a few examples of famous companies that have had great success after using smart business.
