DIVORCE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT

The marriage of the Selmon and Katrina took place on 16th January 1994 at Taj Palace hotel,
New Delhi. They had their first child Amitabh Bachhan on 18 th July, 1995 and second child
Rekha on 23rd August, 2003 respectively. During the 66 th filmfare Awards, 2007; they were
found to have a quarrel on camera. This was followed by both of them starting living
separately from 2008.
On 28th April 2021, a settlement was arrived between both of them to resolve all the disputes
and seek divorce by mutual consent as irreconcilable differences have led to the irremediable
breakdown of the marriage, and there is no possibility of reconciliation. In order to make a
final and complete settlement of all rights and obligations between the parties, including all
property rights and, if applicable, all rights and obligations concerning child custody and
visitation, child support, and spousal support; they both entered into an agreement, the details
of which are as follows:
The terms of the same are as follows:
1. Katrina is to be given a lumpsum permanent alimony of Rs. 2.75 crores along with
two cheques of Rs. 50,00,000/- each, which have been duly honored, towards part
payment of permanent alimony. .
2. 1 bungalow owned by Selmon, situated at Antilia, Altamount Road, Cumballa Hill,
Mumbai is to be given to Katrina as well. The transfer of the same has to be done
before the execution of the divorce.
3. A property purchased jointly by Selmon and katrina on 8 th October, 2000, situated at
Lutyens Delhi has to be sold and the monies so received will be distributed equally
between both.
4. The custody of both the children is to be with Selmon, whereas all the education
related expenses including but not limited to educational institution’s fees etc. would
be borne equally by both the parents. All other expenses w.r.t. children shall be borne
by Selmon himself.
5. W.r.t. visitation rights, Katrina will be given 4 hours every Wednesday to spend with
their children which will be from 1 pm to 5 pm or any other time period as mutually
agreed between Katrina and Selmon.
6. In case of any default, the same shall be first taken up at mediation followed by the
appropriate court having the jurisdiction in/on New Delhi.
7. The agreement can be modified only after written consent of Selmon, Katrina and the
children (if major at the time of modification).
Based on these information/conditions draft a divorce settlement agreement btw Selmon and
Katrina.
