Executive Changes at Glossier as New Spokesperson is Hired


Anne Waddington is taking on the roll as the new spokesperson for Glossier

NEW YORK, Ny., Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 – Anne Waddington has been hired as the new
spokesperson for Glossier, a leading provider of natural beauty products. Waddington will begin
her role at Glossier following her official announcement at company headquarters on Monday.
Emily Weiss, CEO, created Glossier in 2014 to provide the beauty community with a
natural selection of products that would also benefit their costumer’s skin. Glossiers’ first launch
included four products but has since expanded its product line to include skin serums, masks,
shower gel, body lotion, fragrance, lip balms and several other beauty and skincare related items.
“I have been a costumer of Glossier since the beginning, there products are so natural, but
so beautiful at the same time, I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work for a company that I
am already so passionate about,” said Waddington. “I can confidently say that no one should
leave their house without at least one Glossier product.”
Weiss began the search for a qualified spokesperson in May, following the retirement of
previous spokesperson, Clare Depaul. Weiss stopped her search when she met Waddington, a
fellow graduate of New York University. Waddington graduated with a degree in marketing, and
has worked with Vogue, W Magazine, and Teen Vogue.
“Anne has eight years of experience in the beauty community, a passion for cosmetics,
and has what it takes to represent Glossier,” said Weiss. “Our whole team is looking forward to
this new addition, we can’t wait to see what Anne will bring to the table.”
