Why:
She’s been in the medical field for 7 years and in her 7 years of professional
experience, she still doesn’t consider herself as a well-trained nurse. Though she has
confidence in doing procedures to her patients but nursing is a continuous learning
process. She said that it is an important process in their professional development by
improving their knowledge development by improving their skills along the way as they
render care to their patient. She witnessed birth and end of life. She was able to help
people in achieving their optimum level of physical, emotional and spiritual health. But
her most unforgettable experience is when they appreciate and respect their sacrifices,
especially during this pandemic. Her greatest achievement is the number of lives she
has saved. She said that it’s like being an instrument of God in giving a second life by
sacrificing their lives. She still needs instructions from the doctor of the patient or guide
from their supervisors before giving medications and implementing procedures. But in
some cases, even without instructions, they are required to have strong critical thinking
skills even under pressure to determine the next course of action in life-or-death
situation.
