Seeking A PHD Position in Coatings And/Or (Nano) Composites: Chemical Engineer
Creative, proactive and multilingual Materials Engineer with strong technico-scientific skills acquired during multiple
internships in Research and Development. Experienced in interdisciplinary research through my recent master’s
thesis at KU Leuven. Particularly interested in developing novel polymer-based materials with tailored physico-
chemical properties and mechanical performance. Seeking a PhD position in coatings and/or (nano)composites.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Experimental/theoretical background in coatings, composites, formulations, polymers, soft matter, wetting, etc.
Proficiency in conceiving and demonstrating hypotheses, writing reports and giving presentations to experts
Apparatus/techniques: goniometer, tensiometer, rheometer, UV curing, DSC, TMA, TGA, XRD, IR, NMR, etc.
Software: DataPhysics SCA, ImageJ, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Origin, Mnova, Adobe After Effects, etc.

Studied the behaviour of polymers (matrix) during the manufacturing of composites (FRCs)
Characterized the physico-chemical properties of interfaces: wetting, adhesion, etc.
Measured the density of polymer melts (e.g. PP) by dilatometry & wetting
