Pressure and Temperature Controls

Application Info

SBA: Food & Beverage

Application: Control of Tank pressure
Products: MBS Sanitary

Application description One of our subsidiaries has delivered a

number of sanitary MBS 33 to a producer of
soft drinks.
The factory is a bottling plant for mineral
water, and the purpose of the pressure
transmitters is to monitor the pressure of
pressurized storage and buffer tanks.

Tanks, piping and fittings are in AISI 316

stainless steel, and so must be the parts of all
components in contact with the medium.

Moreover, the couplings must be of the

hygienic type, and the standard of this factory
is ISO-clamp.

Cleaning is made with steam at 120°C (SIP,

Steaming In Place), and for this reason it is
necessary to use pressure transmitters which
can withstand such high temperatures.

The solution for this application has been to

put on 12 pcs. of sanitary MBS 33 with cooling
tower and clamp connection.
