VITCC/ACADCC/Win2021-22/15 07-02-2022 Circular Sub: Conduct of CAT examinations (Applicable for all Senior students except MBA Programme) ‘As per norms, internal assessments will include two Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT — I and CAT ~ I). This is in addition to the digital assignments, quizzes, group discussions, seminars, and other activities, as per the requirement of the course. Details of internal assessments will be available in VTOP for the course as informed by the faculty. Schedule for CAT — | is given below. Slot-based schedule is followed for all programmes. Duration for both CAT — | will be 45 minutes and will be for a maximum of 30 marks. However, as per regulation, the weightage for CAT —| and CAT — Il is 15%, each: Type of questions, for both CAT ~ 1 and CAT ~ Il is short and long answers. For online examinations, be prepared to scan and upload the answers, as per the course requirement, The type and number of questions will be decided by the course faculty and is dependent on the nature of the course. The duration of the online exam would be 45 minutes. Additional timing of 15 minutes will be given to scan and upload the answers. Files uploaded should be in PDF format. Both CAT — | and CAT ~l are open book type of examinations. CAT -1 will be conducted using CodeTantra platform with remote proctoring. ‘There will be no regular classes during CAT weeks except for LAW programmes {As this is a proctored examination, it is mandatory to turn-on the video during the entire duration of the test. Soft skill Exam will be conducted through Moodle as usual. Only those students who meet the minimum attendance criteria will be permitted to take CAT =| and CAT - I. Marks will not be considered even if the debarred student attempts the continuous assessment tests, That will be considered just as a practice test. As per norms, 9.0 pointers are exempted from minimum attendance criteria For calculating the eligibility, attendance will be considered till 10-02-2022 for CAT-1.
