Automatic Internal Assessment System

Introduction :-
The goal of this project is to create a system that will capture IA marks and calculate final
marks and print reports on the basis of the calculated marks. A multi-user system is required
that will allow each faculty to enter marks and others to view.

Expected users of the system :-

 Teaching faculty
 Principal
 HODs
 Students

Functional requirements of the system

Faculty:

 Should be able to enter marks of all the students of his/her subject.

 Should be able to modify the already entered marks.
 Sholud be able to view the marks of a particular student.
 Would like the system to calculate final IA marks and list of students with highest
marks.

Student:

Students should be able to view their marks and also the marks of other students.

Principal and HODs:

Should be able to view marks of all the students but should not be able to alter the marks of
students.
Software Requirements Specification
 The processing logic should be clear. There should be clear understanding on how
the final IA marks should be caluclated.
 Also certain scenarios like students being absent in one exam should also be taken
care of.
 How would teacher like to enter marks? One student at a time or many students at a
time
 What will you store as marks for students who do not appear in exam as against
those who get zero in exam.
