General Advice
Crochet in continuous spiral. Work in continuous rounds. Do not join or turn unless otherwise
instructed. In amigurumi most people start with a magic ring (mr). If you do not want to use
this, you can easily start with 2 chain and crochet the first round (usually 6 stitches) in the 2nd
stitch from the hook. Then follows round 2.
Use a stich marker and place it in the first stitch on the row to mark the start of the round .
Move the stich marker to the first stitch of the next round after completing the previous
round.
If color changes are required, this is always done at the end of the previous round.
Crochet the last stitch on the round as follows: Insert the needle into the stitch, turn and pull
up the thread. Switch to the new color and pull through both loops to complete the last stitch.
I recommend using invisible decrease for a nice surface finish: Insert the hook into the front
loop of the 1st stitch and then directly also into the front loop of the 2nd stitch (3 loops on the
hook ).

EARS (make 2)
1: Color A. 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
2: 2 sc in each st [12]
3: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) repeat 6 times [18]
4-6: sc in each st (3 rounds)
7: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
Cut the yarn and leave a long yarn for sewing. It is not necessary to fill the ears.
Sew the right ear (left if you see the head from the front) at round 8 and the left ear (right if you see
the head from the front) at round 6 from the magic ring on the top of the head.
NOTE! The ears are not supposed to sit straight. They are stitched in this way so there is
room for the cap on the head which will be added later.
Change to color D to crochet a spiral around the hat, Crochet only in the front loop stitch.
Start at the first front loop stitch at the bottom of the hat and crochet upwards.
1: Pull the yarn through the first loop and crochet 1 ch.
7
Ch 3 and fasten the end in the magic ring on the top of the hat.
TIP! Instead of using a Pom-Pom Maker, you can make a small tassel using your fingers.
Cut the pom pom shape with scissors and sew it on top of the hat.
Try the hat on the head of the teddy bear and crochet a chain long enough to reach the other
side of the hat from the front of the ears down to the chin. Leave a long yarn for sewing.
Insert a little stuffing in the hat. Place the hat slightly to one side. Attach the hat as well as
the chain with pins on the head. Sew it together.
Stuff the half of the body. Keep continue to fill as you crochet and make sure to stuff it firmly.
Stuff and continue to fill as you crochet. Fill the upper one of the leg a little less so that the 10
leg can dangle.
Stuff and continue to fill as you crochet. Fill the upper part of the arm a little less.
Cut the yarn and leave a long yarn for sewing. Squeeze the arm flat at the top and close it with
some stitches. Sew arms on both sides of body, approx. 1 row from the top.

COLLAR
Note! Make sure the lace band you chose has holes in the edge as you have to sew a
string through.
Turn the lace up so the seam is on the inside. Use a stop pin and thread it with a color that matches
the lace band. Sew up and down the holes on the edge of the lace band. Make sure you start and
end on the same side of the lace band.
12
Put the collar around your neck and tighten to gather it. Tie a knot and hide the end.
9: Crochet only in front loop stitch: (slst in next st, 2 hdc in next st, slst in next st) repeat 6 times [64]
11: (Sc in next back loop stitch, sc in both loops of the next st) repeat to the end of round. [42]
12: (Sc in next both loops stitches, sc in next back loop stitch) repeat to the end of round. [42]
14
Stuff and continue to fill as you crochet. Make sure to stuff it firmly.
15
Tighten the thread and you will see the bottom bend inwards. They will help stabilize the bottom.
Tie a knot while tightening the yarn and hidden the end.
16
17
Next round crochet only in the back loop stitches. Start in the marked loop st.
Cut the yarn and leave a long yarn tail for sewing. Insert the yarn end onto the back of the work.
Place a small amount of filling on top of the cake and attach the icing with the needles.
18
Sew the parts together and follow the seam between the ruffles.
Leave it as it is or decorate the top of the cake with small buttons, pickles or beads.
